Rather than staying up late to greet the New Year, I decided to greet the first Sunrise.

Very nice, Tude Dog! I wish we had a nice dusting of snow here but it's a no-show in the forecast for the next week or so.

Lars, I'm not sure if it's the exact same program you saw but i caught a few minutes of a New York Philharmonic concert on PBS last night that was a tribute to Sondheim. I think it was at the Lincoln Center.

Yep. That is the one. I am not a fan of Sondheim. But the Yoshiki concert at Carnegie that followed was much more interesting.
After that, Spent a couple of hours outdoors. A bit chilly, but the sky was clear and a lot of stars to be seen.
I came inside just in time for the re-run of the Ball-drop in NY. (The Mrs insists on watching that, every year. I've yet to figure out why. )

    Nice, Tude.
I got up to watch the sunrise this morning, too, but didn't take camera.
