Liability - our State Gov't are working on a bill to shield business's from being sued from their employees & customers.

I only leave my house once a month -
I went to the store yesterday - majority of customers were not wearing a mask - I was having a anxiety attack LOl - couldn't wait to get home.

The lack of protection on everyone - could make me a hermit. LOl

    Oh, I hate this.

Patsy, do you not have a home delivery option?

If they're anything like where I live, the delivery services are, at best, haphazard.
The people picking the order may, or may not spend time actually looking for specific items that you request, and generally have no interest in pick produce that at least looks edible, and there are still items that are designated as "in store only."
I have found that I can schedule a delivery or pick-up, and the STILL must go into the store to get some items that the pickers missed. So, what's the point of THAT?

We have one market, Safeway, which is convenient to us, and they follow strict protocols (a guy at the door counting people coming and going, and preventing too many from entering, and insisting that everyone wears a mask. All employees are following mask and glove rules, and the aisles are mark for one direction, alternating.) And, so far, they have recently been in stock of every item I am looking for.

The rest of the markets are at best, chaotic.

Patsy, I do hope that you are able to get out and walk around the neighborhood for fresh air. I hope you can find some locations on your walk where you can gather your wits, and enjoy the outside air. (Yeah, I know, it's getting hot, already.)

Hang in there. It's gonna get better.

    Re: America is Shutting Down

We were at the check out & this lady with no mask talking & laughing on her phone & standing to close to my hubby. I told my hubby her spit is flying so, I moved my hubby to the front of our cart and I had to put my hand up to stop this lady from moving closer. emotionally draining.
I haven't tried delivery & I won't be eating out - I'm afraid of the person preparing the food.

HOT - it'll be 111 degrees by Wednesday - We're one of the very few homes with a pool & I do exercise in our pool daily. With this heat my tomato plants are flourishing & I'm picking @ 8 daily - my walking is delivering tomatoes to my neighbors. I guess I'll have to freeze some?

The amount of people without a mask & respect for others in public is stressful.
    Thanks
    Patsy

Sure, that's a perfectly normal and sane response.

Do you have a Sprouts near you? The prices are surprisingly low and the quality if very high.

We do have a Sprouts. It was put into what was a Barnes and Noble book store. It is very tight fit. The aisles are close and cramped in normal times. Trying to get through, now is a challenge. it's not possible to stay 6 feet from other shoppers.

    Re: America is Shutting Down

So here in Virginia we went into phase 1 last Friday, so it was 7 days yesterday. One more week to go, to see if it's going to increase cases. I was amazed that they went into phase 1 when the 2 days before it went into effect we had over 1,000 new cases each day! But I can't expect any better with the governor we've got here. In one word he is AWFUL! but how can I be surprised at that, he is a Democrat! I'm left with a distinct waiting for the other shoe to drop kind of feeling.

So my pastor called last weekend he said that they would be allowed to have church inside the building again but with many restrictions. He said there are 4 pages of restrictions. After talking it over with the deacons they decided that we have to many older people and people with underlying health conditions and they didn't think we could to it and keep all those restrictions so they decided not to have services in the building. They are now having it in the parking lot so people can stay in their car.

I haven't changed my routine even though we are in phase 1. I still only grocery shop once a week and I wear my mask and gloves every time I go anywhere. We are all in desperate need of haircuts but I'm holding off on that too. I've been threatening my son for a while now that I'm going to put his in a manbun and his daddy is telling him he's going to put a bowl on his head and give him a bowl cut. He's not pleased with either idea. LOL

I go into stores quite often and I'm the only one in the store wearing a mask. I just stand there in disbelief.

I was in one store and they have the circles on the floor for you to stand on to be six feet apart. I'm standing on my circle and the lady behind me is standing on her circle we've both got on our masks. This other woman wearing no mask comes in from the side and gets in between me and the other lady and is standing right behind me and starts coughing! I was so glad I had on my mask. I can't believe these people!
