No. In general, 16 year olds have little if any personal concept of the world and the important issues to vote responsibly. Not ragging on teenagers. I just used to be one is all. :)

In the UK, someone is not deemed responsible enough to Vote or Drink at 18 however they're considered responsible enough to HAVE A BABY at the age of 16!!!

Ridiculous!

The voting age has been 18 here since the early 70's. I remember a big eal in my high school, during my senior year, getting us registered. So, my first election was 1972 presidential. Nixon won.

Why does your poll say "lowered to 18 years"?

That dosen't make sense it should be have been reversed 16 drinking and voteing and 18 to have a baby

I know some teenagers who had kids at 14 there kids are now 4-5 years old and the kids turned out right but the parents had help from family which i guess is cool

but a lot of the girls that get pregnant young are shuned from family and society even now days when were supposedly more understanding about that kind of stuff.

The voting age should stay the same. Lowering wouldnt accomplish anything. Alot of people dont even bother to vote anyway. I do though!
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.
