Tongue is supposed to be a delicacy. It's a bit like ham, with a slightly different

texture, and deeper colour. It's got a bit of resilience "in the bite". Eel is nice,

barbecued even - it's just a long fish! Squid? The tentacles are nicest, IMO,

but I don't think it's fair to eat these (see "shellfish"). I also am a picky eater.

Yes, it is considered a delicacy. But it gives me the shivers, as did the menudo with the tripe.

I think I will not eat innards anymore, because I had to eat liver for each pregnancy-it was that or iron shots a couple times a week. I would broil it, cut it into cubes, and just swallow it with skim milk. Never ate much the rest of the day. Never gained a pound after each baby was here, and had 4 of the healthiest kids ever. I do think it has alot to with it. But I can't stand to eat that stuff again!

I am quite surprised at that. It is not recommended to eat liver during

pregnancy (or cod liver oil, etc.) due to concerns about the pernicious

effects of too much vitamin A.

Oh I am not a great fan of liver or kidneys now I must say, but I do like sausages a lot, but you have to buy quality ones though those cheaper ones are orrible, urrgghhh. couldnt agree more galbally, i dont eat sausages now myself but df loves them BUT will only eat top quality ones, the pork & leek are good but so are the granny smith apple & pork

Oh they sound nice, there are lots of interesting ones, garlic and herb, red pepper ones, theres loads to things you can put in em, traditional ones like Cumberland are lovely as well if you get quality ones, Germans, they do good sausages as well, sausages and beer, very nice.

Perhaps you could use this thread as a dieting tool for people. Whenever they want to eat, make them read it. It will curb the appetite in no time and possiby cause projectile vomiting. It's about all you need to hear to become bulemic. :-2

Caul fat is useful for roasting various things. You can do somewhat of the same

thing with aluminium foil on/off, but it's not the same.
