Been to Warwick Castle today

Post by Hamster »

I love castles and anything medieval. I spent 4 hours wandering round Warwick castle toady, spent too much money in the gift shop and climbed 503 steps to the tallest tower. No wonder they were all so fit in those days!

Here are a few pictures :)

I passed within ten miles of the castle at around 2.30 this afternoon, I'd have waved if I'd known.

Happy new year Hammy, have fun.

Hammy, either you or Spot, or both of you could have broken your journeys, by calling in on old dubs for a cup of tea....;)

ALOHA!!

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

I have been to Warwick Castke, its great!:D When we were there, there was a man in costume telling the story of the battle of agincourt. It was mainly kids standing listening to him but they were enthralled, and soon so were we:wah: he made it so funny and interesting, it made our day. He was a fantastic story teller:)

Very interesting. If I were there Id expect you to bring me to all of them.

I always assumed the inside was raw, just stone and......stone.

Not so I see. Is it actually liveable in there ? Furnished with original pieces ?

It was a bit disappointing Nomad..the victorians lived there and there mark is left on it. Not much medieval decor left inside.

BTW - I didn't go there with Dubs, that was Tamworth castle - I went a few years ago now on my way back from the Truimph factory!:-6

Yeah..bit cheesy...but I sensed enough there anyway..bet you did too:wah:
