Get this tattooed:

I just don't know where. I'd have to slim it down to get it on my left arm, and I have about a 6 inch scra, rather nasty one at that, in the middle of my upper arm. Maybe chest, but I prefer it to be somewhere that it can be seen without me getting half naked. I'll give someone an E-dollar if they know who that is in the picture.

Thats reserved for a different one; location means a lot sometimes.

I don't know who it is....a goddess with a lyre!

It's very attractive I think.

How many tattoos do you have now if any?

I've got two very simple ones, both ten years old or older. I've been comtemplating the next since then. Now I have about 3 to 4 planned.

Wow! I hear once you get one that you start wanting more like an addiction. Is that true?

12 years between my first and this hardly qualifies as an addiction. I think it like most things these days suffers from a lack of moderation. People will put anything on themselves; whether it means something to them or not.

In all honesty,. how bad is the pain?? I ask because I've been seriously considering getting one (that does mean something very deeply for me) but I haven't decided for sure. The place I have chosen if I get it will be in my middle about two inches under my breasts. Sorry to give you a TMI, I'm just trying to find out about the pain. Is it worse in certain areas?

That would make for a beautiful tatoo, expensive though I would think. :D

Red, it all depends on where you get them. The ones on my ankle did not hurt as bad as the one on my lower back. And it hurts only for a few minutes then you are used to it.

pain is a little relative. I'm on the masochist side of things though. It honestly didn't bother me one bit. Toughest part is sitting still.

Chest is the location of the heart of course; there is much symbolism in the placement of tattoos; or there was centuries ago when the practice was was newer and less widespread.

If you did get it there about how big are ya thinkin?

What you think is tacky is of no concern to me. You are talking to a man who has thirty Hawaiian shirts. The one for the chest will be just a Latin phrase. I won't get that picture I posted, the black and white on. The reason for the chest is simple, it is a place that no one will see by happenstance. The symbolism has less to do with the heart than it does with being secret but kept in a special place.

The whole line about what you think is tacky was not meant as insult, just jerking your chain. :yh_peace
