Being a native San Diegan I grew up in sunny weather and could handle it fine when I was young, not anymore the older I get the less heat I can take. :yh_rotfl

give me the heat any day after the winter we just had. If my hair frizzes, I really don't give a ****. It does make it hard to breathe sometimes but taking it slow and easy will be my motto this summer.

Now just to get my system aclimated to the heat and I'll be good to go.

I sure do agree though that desert heat is much different than tropical heat.

I don't know if that 102 broke any records for that day

definately was a nap day... wow - too early for this..!!!!!

Hang in there - mist yourself & get by a fan - or drive around in that beautiful car of yours... :wah:

desert heat also gets humidity come August - Sept. miserable time of year...

but - I wouldn't live any where else

3 to 4 months of hot - hell actually - good time to get away

and visit Canada...:-3

I use to be able to take the heat alot easier before menopause:wah:

Its been a bit hotter for us here too, apparently the normal for April is 14 degrees, but we have 17 and 18 degrees here over the last 10 or 11 days, but apparently it is supposed to start cooling down again later today and into next week, good old British weather.

It has been a little chilly on an evening so still need the heating on just for a short while after tea.

Send us some of your heatwave over here please!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-6

I was outside in full sun most of the time today and despite having high SPF sunscreen still managed to get a bit of a sunburn... no tan lines either, btw. :D

I can handle 105 F here in California much better than I tolerate 85 F in other parts of the U.S. with opressive humidity.
