Wheldon passes Patrick, wins Indy 500

Dan Wheldon passed Danica Patrick with six laps to go and then pulled away to win the Indianapolis 500 today.



Wheldon, the first Englishman to win the 500 since Graham Hill in 1966, dueled with Patrick through most of the race's final 27 laps. Patrick bested him on a restart on lap 190, but Wheldon quickly reeled her in and took the lead for good.

Wow! Congratulations to my fellow Englishman Dan Wheldon!

Now if only we can find another Fred Perry for this year`s Wimbledon!!!
