Talent or stupidity?

Post by gmc »

Driving along edgeware road I saw cyclist weaving about zooming through red lights nearly hit a parked van. Typical cyclist you might think then I realised he was texting on his phone as he rode along. My dilemma? Do I admire the dexterity and multitasking skills or wonder at the unbelievable stupidity of some people?

Admire or could you be a bit jealous of the multitasking talent?

As far as stupid - there are too many stupid people in the world.

And I'm assuming this cyclist was young?

you've heard of young & dumb - we've all been that...:wah:

I use to ride with no hands for miles.

now I think OMG - stupid...:wah:

I suspect falling off and smashing his phone might ultimately be the cure.

I crept passed a motorist in slow moving traffic today in N. London, who was reading his paper that was laid over his steering wheel.

They're tossers.

I've seen that in one place in Melbourne where the traffic lights are on a very long timed cycle........ and yes, phones as well. Its like people come prepared .

I reckon people who get done for texting & driving (and riding) should not only be banned from driving / riding, but banned from owning a mobile phone as well. You get them just as bad walking aimlessly through the busy City Centre, bumping into anyone & everyone.

We had one of those in Raleigh that I passed several times on my morning commutes.
