I threw up from it also the first time. Then the doctor ordered the test again (blood drawn every hour for 5 hours)! The second time, I managed to gag but kept it down. After all of that, the tests came back normal which is great but that is one nasty thing they make you drink :lips:

But i have read studies. This is true. So be careful in this area.

Well get this. I went to the DR. he felt my thyroid. Said it was hard. So asked me about the meds. If I felt any different? Not really. So he decided to have bloodwork done. To see if there needed to be any changes in the meds. Well the talented Lab tech. COULD NOT DRAW MY BLOOD:mad::mad: said i must be dehydrated?? HUH???? so now i have to go back to town tomorrow and let someone else STAB ME:-5:-5. This woman tried it twice. I told her. That was enough!! once in the hand, that HURTS:-5 So then hubby was mad at me about the $$$$. but what else is new there:( I tried to explain to him. It could take a long time. Until they found the right dosage. He was NOT HAPPY with that answer. But anyway. i guess i really have no news for you all:confused:

My specialist chuckled today when I had told her about throwing up that orange crap for the glucose test.

...she said it is very sweet....NO DIABETICS even with the one blood test.......yeah!

She said thryoid level is dropping nicely but not fast enough, so I am to have a scan done....go to hospital, take a pill........go back next day for scan.

Should been done in around 2-3 weeks, they will call me with an appointment.

oh oh.

I am Shocked that Thyroid could lead to Cancer,

As I am not going for a check of my thyroid even after my doctors have prescribed me to get it tested The first thing I am doing this Monday is THYROID TEST

I think that might be over stating it a bit. I doubt if it's a case of thyroid problems leading to cancer, per se, but more like any bodily imbalance leaves the body at a higher RISK of getting cancer. Furthermore, regardless of the condition itself, what is likely to be even more of a factor is the medication used to treat the condition. For example, my brother had to have everything from his stomach down & fitted with a colostomy after getting Gulf War Syndrome (which the Government still deny even exists - an utter disgrace in itself), which was caused by all the untested anti bio/chemical/plague meds the Army pumped into them, thus causing the cancers, although as I understand it, nothing can actually 'cause' cancer - only greatly aggravate it in varying degrees.
