It was a Princes Trust concert and they played the whole of Quadrophenia and I had no voice afterwards.

A sign of a good concert.

Live Aid
"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight', people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson

I think my most memorable one is my first Janet concert as we were so close to her. Michael was good though as well.

I reckon I've been to over 300 gigs, and yes, I did pay for SOME of them :D

Most memorable:

Van Halen, Bad Company (including a walk-on by Led Zeppelin) at the wonderful Birmingham Odeon.

Joni Mitchell, Eric Clapton, Muse & Prince at the NEC.

Bruce Springsteen in Milan.

Can't choose just one. This list would be a lot longer as it is.

Mine would be Indigenous when they played in Parker, Arizona.

They were playing right on the river on a gorgeous bright sunny day with the perfect amount of breeze. I sat on the grass for most of the concert and just marinated in my own thoughts. I was relaxed, unstressed, happy and really excited to see them. They were still pretty new then and I felt like I was in on something a lot of other people weren't.

Toward the end of the show, I went down to the left front of the stage and stood right beneath Mato Nanji while he played. I was to him. Speaker blew out my ear but hey! I was close to Mato!

That was a really good day for me. :)

That's a tough question....I've been lucky enough to check out a lot of great shows.....

Bob Dylan (any of the 15-20 shows I've seen, I love Bob)

Levon Helm (from The Band)- went to his house in Woodstock, NY...awesome!

Garth Hudson (The Band) - in Hamilton, Ontario

Live Aid (London, England 2005)

Tom Petty, Eric Clapton and Neil Young....among many other great artists....:guitarist

Whilst I loved concerts like Led Zep at the Earl's Court and The Who at Granby Halls I have to say that the best concert I've ever been to was Dave Swarbrick at a little pub in Dalston.

Swarb, as always, was magnificent but the immediacy of thirty people sitting round chatting with him between numbers was unforgettable.
