I love it when I discover new music. I've never been one to distance myself to music that may not be considered mainstream.

Sometimes it is recent modern stuff but often I'll discover something that has passed me in years gone by.

That's the case with Moondog, a self taught, percussionist and composer I stumbled across on Spotify. Cant stop listening to it.

Bird's Lament I had heard but didn't know it was Moondog

I particularly like his arrangements for church organ. " A new sound of an old instrument "

Well, he was eccentric. He lived on the streets for about 20 years and dressed as a Norse God. I like that he was a bit left field. That makes him interesting and it makes his music interesting.

It's not everybody's cup of tea but then a again, neither is JLS

As a percussionist I would say yes. He would be a virtuoso on the washboard, your mangle, your copper and anything else in your kitchen
