Let us all have a whip around so the old codger can retire.............................and give us a break from any further 'Live' performances.

Better to leave us with the memories of how he once was.

One of the best... I always marvelled at the insight Jaggs had Into the mind of a housewife given he was only about 24 years old when he wrote that.

She's a Rainbow - Rolling Stones - YouTube

This reminds me of my best friend Jane.

We started school together aged 5. I never understood why at the time but she was excused from anything physical.

When we got to around 14 years old this track came out on the ' Milestones' album.

We'd go into Brighton to the very first Virgin record store on the corner of North street. It had a set up where the assistant put the album of your request on and you could listen to It on headphones In the bean bag area with all the local hippies.

We used to listen to this over and over and on the bus on the way home sing ' lalalalala' of the chorus much to the annoyance of other passengers.

We left school and Jane got a job In a department store and I started my apprenticeship In horse racing.

When I was 19 years old, my Father arrived at the Betting office to tell me Jane had died of heart failure... she was just 19.

She was buried In the cemetary where my parents were later buried.

Every time I went to the cemetary, I put flowers on her grave,.

What I didn't know was that her parents often wondered who left the flowers until one year I wrote on a card ' You're still a rainbow'..... then It Immediately clicked that It was me.

I refer you to my recent post about his performance at Glastonbury, I liked him a few years ago, now he just reminds me how old we are both getting.
