Beautiful historic buildings

Post by Bez »

Arnold posted a picture of a beautiful church that he is hoping to do some restoration work on. Have you got any favourite pictures of historic or beautiful buildings near to where you live.

This is Lancing college a private school about 5 minutes away from me. The building on the right is the Chapel.

My brother lives near Mountfitchett near Stansted Airport. I love going to visit because we always drive out to some of the beautiful villages. Saffron Walden is a particualr favourite of mine.

Chonsi...this is Chichester Cathedral, about 30 minutes drive for me. I go there and light candles for my Mum and Dad....it makes me cry sometimes ....the feeling of history is overwhelming. Chichester is an old Roman City. We have 2 sites of Roman villas in Sussex, complete with underground heating ! The romans must have found the weather here quite cold compared with italy. ....no wonder they went home !!!

Yes, you only walk across at low tide, at high tide you take a ferry (which is actually a very small boat)

Quite a few people live on the Mount, including Lord St Levans nephew and family who live in part of the Castle.
