You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson

Wow, Chookie, your photos are so clear and the colors are vivid! What I loved about Arthur's Seat is the contrast between that dark green on the mountain against that deep blue sky. All that lush greenery makes me envious. I live near rocks and sand, hardly greenery. May I ask the significance of Lincoln being there? I was surprised. Is he a hero in Scotland? I loved your pictures very much! Thank you for sharing them. :)

Red, the greenery is green because of all the water that falls on it (and us).

I think Lincoln is there because he was the leaser of the winning side in your Civil War, Had the South won, it would probably be Jeff Davis stood there. It's the memorial to the Scottish soldiers who died in that war - apparently there some thousands, but, no Lincoln isn't a hero over here.

Thanks Chookie. See, that's something I should have realized, about the Scottish soldiers, but I didn't make the connection. I'm sorry. I sure do enjoy your pictures!
