I went to a botanical garden the other day to see this show. I was amazed! It's blown stained glass arranged around the gardens. I just love the ball boat! Very Happy My favorite though is that blue curly one. It must have been 8 feet tall.

Kathy - those chandeliers in the casino at Atlantic City (where we broke the bank) were by Mr Chihuly !!! His work is fabulous. There was an exhibition of his glass installations a few years ago at the Australian National Gallery in Canberra. I've got photos somewhere. He even set up coloured reeds in the mist garden pond outside the gallery. Awesome talent. I think he's originally from Chicago. Good one Dizz.

Dale Chihuly - Artist

Hello Pam:wah: Yes, indeedy...I wanted Dizz to show some pictures because I thought about our visit to Atlantic City:driving:and wanted to make sure that you saw her thread:-6.

I was so delighted to think about our trip to Atlantic City when I saw Dizz's thread. We visited the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City......... and you looked up, thrilled to bits to see the Chihuly chandeliers. I hadn't a clue as to who Chihuly was, but of course you did....;)

Girl, you are a world traveler who knows "many things about everything."

I love the site that you've enclosed...;)

I was just at the Bellagio last week and saw the exhibit in the Conservatory which has a lot of the gorgeous flowers. It's a Springtime theme which I hadn't seen before. I've been there in Autumn and Winter. All are exquisite! Chihuly's work was featured at the winter Olympics in Salt Lake, 2002.

Lovely, Dizz. Like my idea of sci fi crinoid monsters. My favourites are still the reeds - I like the indoor chandeliers etc, but the outside installations where art and nature are interwoven are for me the most magic. Chihuly and prickly pears.... great.
