He is sleeping boy now......we have the pics on the digital camera thing on the computer but I REALLY have a hard time finding it AND then once I do - I can't get it to FG. I am really computer stupid. My daughter used to do it for me and then she moved out and now BTS does it for me. I Really do try to follow how they did it but alas and alack - I remain stupid in this area.

It is a digital and they are downloaded on my computer. I know I sound stupid - because I AM. I can find the place once in a while but then I can't get them to FG.

We were throwing huge rocks onto the ice to see where and when it would break.

Well living where I do, not only do we not see snow, but living in a city, it's hard to get out and fully appreciate the beautiful countryside that is out there, so seeing those pictures, makes me realise how desperately I need to get out, and fufill my ambition of travelling the world one day.

you will see this figure around a lot for the 2010 olympics as that is what Canada is using. Pins are out already with it on.

Thats the name & it has a special meaning as well.I have forgetten that also:-5

Our godson lives at Canossie I know the spelling is wrong:o

Canossie? Is that pronounsed Can Oh See? Where is this place? Canada???

here is the story

Inukshuk, pronounced "in-ook-shook", are stone monuments erected by the Inuit, and used for centuries to guide them across one of the world's most desolate landscapes.

As such, the Inukshuk are a tool for survival, and symbolic of a nomadic people - the Inuit - who built them as signposts providing direction and safety to travellers who followed.

The efforts of an entire group were required to build these massive stone sculptures. Each stone is a separate entity, each supports, and is supported by, the one above and the one below it. The strength lies in its unity.

The Inukshuk are the product of cooperation, revealing to each of us that as good as our individual efforts may be, together we can achieve even greater success.

Its significance comes from its meaning as a whole. The stones, which make up the Inukshuk, are secured through balance. They are chosen for how well they fit together.

The Inukshuk is a symbol of the human spirit. They recognize our ability to succeed with others, where we would fail alone. The Inukshuk serves as a reminder of the responsibility to invest our efforts today, towards building a better tomorrow.
