Daytona bike week

Post by susie »

Hi

I like bikes and used to ride pillion but not in the USA, not any more

The drivers (not bikers) are crazy here, and so many bikers were killed or injured this year

What I cannot understand is why bikers are allowed to ride bikes without proper head gear

Because adults make decisions for themselves regarding their personal safety. They're not being "allowed" to ride without helmets, drivers are being forced to wear seatbelts.

Hi

Yes you do have a valid point

Perhaps it should be compulsary, think of the lives that could be saved and familes would still have their loved ones

Unfortunatley, not all adults want to make the most sensible choices. When I first used to ride I never used to wear protective clothing or helmet.

It wasn't until our best friend had a serious accident and lost a leg , that I saw the light.

As a result of the accident, our friend, lost his job, medically unfit, gilfriend and home!

Regards

Sue
