Money Money M

Post by QUINNSCOMMENTARY »

So much for change, according calculations by the Wall Street Journal, lobbyists have given $140 million to the political parties in the first six months of 2008 that includes $58.7 million to Democratic congressional candidates and $57.4 million to Republicans. Party committees received $19.4 million and the presidential candidates a total of $4 million.

The idea that a candidate is not going to be influenced in future policy decisions by avoiding lobbyist donations is ludicrous. :(

And which group is the most generous influencer, why the lawyers of course followed closely by organized labor. Are you surprised? Who benefits most from incomprehensible laws and regulations? Union members have the privilege of seeing their union dues used to support candidates favored by their leaders.
