Guess what!! The old Barbie patterns do not fit the NEW Barbie. Too much time between granddaughters, I guess!!

Anyway, are there patterns for the new slimmer Barbie? I do not want to even begin to alter the patterns I have for bust size and waist, etc.

I haven't been to the fabric shop for patterns in a long time and don't want to make a needless trip if there is no such thing

Thanks:confused:

That was ten years ago. I won't let new Barbie into my collection, she'd just cry all the while.

The only way I can make soft lightweight Barbie underwear n'stuff with translucent acrylics and muslins is a superglue line off the side of a sewing pin rather than attempting stitches, and turning over waist seams with the right size elastic band in them. Barbie likes that.

Do you just enjoy making the clothes for your grandkids???? Because you can go to the $$$ stores and get them much cheaper than you can probably make them now-a-days.

But I can understand if you like to sew, so does my mom. She says it is soothing to her, her type of therapy.

I haven't bought a Barbie in about 16 yrs and did she join Jenny Craig? How much skinnier does she need to be?

This pattern is for the new bellybutton Barbie body, which has smaller breasts and larger waist and hips than the traditional Barbie shape.

I would never consider selling them no matter the price. They mean too much to me.

I also have my Easy Bake Oven, Lite-Brite and tons of board games.

My mom used to make all of our Barbie outfits and we had a trunk full of them. She gave them away..was a little teed at her for that since my oldest daughter was a Barbie freak.

Couldn't help but join this discussion. I love Barbie and making Barbie clothes are what I have been trying to do with my sewing machine among others.
