Car Crash Or The Spider?
This is one probably for the Ladie's on FG. What would you do in this situation?
Mr Oscar was driving alone in the middle of no-where with sharp bends, narrow roads with the sun in his eyes.
He reached up to the sun visor ------ You've guessed already??
He pulled the sun visor down and something went "Plop" in his lap.
He glanced down briefly to see an extremely large black hairy spider in his crotch.
Mr Oscar never faultered. He causually flicked the offender on to the foot well of the car with his finger, not losing any speed, and kept going.
On his return, i went to view the offender still happy in the nice warm car.
If i said that this was the biggest British black wood spider that i had ever seen, It would be an under-estimation. This spider was doing press up's.
Now, if i had been driving the car alone in the same circumstances, i would be wrapped around a tree with paramedics in attendance. Mr Oscar would be claiming on the car insurance.
Come on, even you guys. What would you have done? Death or Spider?

I'd have done the same, spiders don't bother me.

If I saw one that big I would have pulled the car over to the side of the road and tried to get it out of the car. Other than that I don't kill them in my house because they eat other little critters.

Mr Oscar did admit later that he was startled. He gently removed it & re-located it to our shed to eat fly's. :driving::driving::driving:

Id be dead..........for certain.......Im frightened of all insects and worms and slugs and ewwwwww just all them nasties...Worst is daddy long legs for me, hate them with a passion and moths.
My ex sister-in-law once wrote off a new car as a wasp flew into her open driver side window and she wrapped the car round a lamp post, only had the car a few days too..

Brings a new meaning to "the spider and the fly"story. Sorry, oscar..................had to say it.:wah: I don't like to be startled by anything, especially when I drive. I don't like an unexpected passenger............no hitch-hikers on my ride. That is not the time for panic, it's the time for quick decisions and steady moves. Check mirror, slow down, pull over side of road, open window/leave vehicle. Get something to remove hitchhiker from vehicle. Set him free. Calm down. Resume drive.
Yeah......................right!:D

Mr Oscar is now teasing me unmercifully.
He has named the offending spider "Jeff" ****** knows why??
Mr Oscar is constantly asking "Will i pop out to the shed to fetch this and that for him"

the silly part of this is that for the majority of my life i have worked outside with horses and numerous other animals, hence sheds barns stables etc where you'd think id be used to seeing them..................
i once spent 3hrs sitting on the back of an armchair, waiting for someone to come in and remove one that sat warming itself in front of my fire :rolleyes:
