Absolutely. No different to my spot of trouble where every hack wanted the pics to be of me by the memorial cross and the poppiesfor maximum impact. The lad is too young to know what hacks are like and his parents are probably too thick to realise.
They definately got the money shot there with the playstation.

My nephew has spent months preparing for his baby now due in 7 weeks. He has decorated the room at the girls mothers house, bought baby clothes out of his pocket money, got himself a little part time job etc and i know he would be devastated if he were told there was a possibility he was not the father.
3 very different baby story's top our FG news today eh.
Well all the power to the young children who have babies. I wish them well, I want to say maybe our youth could take a lesson from Nadya 8 babies, how things could turn out. Or a lesson from any couple on relationships what does babies at such a young age do to relationships present and future, jobs, education, etc....
At 15 your entire furture is ahead of you....

At 15 your entire furture is ahead of you.... I do agree with what your saying that their whole future is ahead of them. We have another one in the press this week who is still a teenager, expecting triplets and already had two children. She was pictured with her dumb mother looking on grinning. Now that, i call ridiculous.
In this country, where a generous benifit system will help the young parents, there is nothing to stop them carrying on with their lives and the baby being a burden. They can still be educated and go on to get full time work, a career and everything else they would without a baby.

I think everyone should be allowed to have one baby that the state will help with, e.g. family allowance. I dont mean free flat and benefits for everything. Any child anyone wants to have after their first born, they pay for it themselves with no help from the government. That might stop em:D

I think adults have a hard time appreciating that there was another option.. at least over here there is.
:
Maybe you would have considered abortion but the parents may find the idea as repulsive as i do. It's down to personal choice. No-one is in any position to tell any mother to abort. I don't care if the girl was 7 years old, she obviousley decided not to abort and maybe did not tell her parents until it was too late under the fear that she may be forced to abort from people who think as you do.
From what you have written, you are saying that if she aborted the baby, the press may not have found out. Would the press not finding out be reason to end the life of a child? I think not.

It's a short extra step to sterilizing gypsies, Jews, immigrants and queers once you get to the point of banning categories of people from getting pregnant and enforcing it. The Western world swore a mighty collective oath after 1945 not to go down that road irrespective of the wishes of any electorate or the pressures of any tabloids.

There is no doubt that in this country, our benifit spend is way out of control. It's also common knowledge that a teenage single mum is going to get a council house and benifits for life even if she continues to have more by a variety of fathers such as karen Matthews.
I don't actually have a problem with that as such. It's good to know that we live in a country where the vulnerable are taken care of even though you will always have those who take advantage of the system.
My problem is with the type that lives up the road from me. Her contribution to her country and fortnightly physical exercise is to bend down and pick the benifit cheque up off the door mat. First priority is to stock up on cheap booze, ciggs and call her dealer. The kids are dirty along with her house. She has never worked from the day she left school and could not even spell the word education.
The government is talking about forcing these mothers back to work but i personally think it's a mad idea when there are people like my neighbour who have no social skills leaving them virtually un-employable.
If you impose the measures that Carolly talked of, ie not funding mothers after two children, then you risk subjecting the genuine into poverty. IE, woman who have had divorce or the husband leave them with the kids. To stop benifit over two children would result in extreme poverty and ultimately it would not be the mother that suffered but the children. that is a stupid idea and certainly would not stop teenage pregnancy.
I more prefer the Tory proposal of issuing food stamps and vouchers for utility bills with single parents to ensure they pay their bills and booze and ciggs are the last items on their list of priorities.

Only way the stamps and vouchers will work is if they are unable to sell them on, either they have their face printed on them (heh heh) or similar, otherwise they will just get sold on for fags and booze and drugs.

I agree that the administration will be enormous but once it's kicked in, i think it's only a benifit. There are ways round it that the Tory's are aware of and one suggestion is having a reg no. on them similar to an ordinary cheque. They can at least then be traced if they are passed on with it being a criminal offence to sell them on or buy them.

Parents of 13-year-old father Alfie embroiled in tawdry battle to 'make a packet' from scandalBy James Millbank

Comments (94) Add to My Stories The father of the 13-year-old boy dubbed the ‘Babyfather’ yesterday paraded in a devil mask – as he became embroiled in a tawdry battle with his ex-wife to exploit the pitiful case.
The pair are understood to have both struck lucrative media deals, with the boy’s father boasting that he intends to make as much money as possible.
Alfie Patten’s relationship with 15-year-old Chantelle Steadman has prompted a political row about Britain’s moral collapse.
Devil may care: Dennis Patten, father of 13-year-old Alfie Patten, who fathered a baby with a 15-year-old
But as controversy raged, his divorced parents Dennis and Nicola had an unseemly row.
At first, Nicola angrily accused Dennis, 45, of selling their son’s story without her knowledge.
But within 24 hours she was said to be negotiating herself.
Last night it was claimed she had secured a five-figure deal.
Alfie was just 12 when he got Chantelle pregnant. Their baby girl, Maisie Roxanne, was born five days ago.
Dennis is said to have told a reporter: ‘I wish this baby had never been born but it has. Alfie is too young but I have to make the most of it. I’m going to make as much money as I can.’
As he spoke on Friday, his son, who looks no older than eight, was curled up in the back of his father’s car and crying audibly.
Dennis said: ‘I’m taking Alfie to London with me. I want to sell his story because I’ve heard people can get us loads of money for Alfie’s story.
Under cover: The hooded boy leaving Chantelle's home in Eastbourne with a relative yesterday morning
‘It is an attractive story, Alfie is a father and he only looks eight years old! He is really upset but I have told him I will make him a packet.’
Dennis, a father of nine who also has three stepchildren, split from Nicola, 43, two years ago after she caught him having an affair with a 19-year-old.
He has three children with Nicola – Alfie, Joe, 16, and Isabella, 11 – and another son Leyton, 23, by a previous relationship.
Yesterday Alfie arrived home at his mother’s £395,000 home in a cul-de-sac in Hailsham, East Sussex, after spending the night at Chantelle’s parents’ council house in nearby Eastbourne.
His baby and girlfriend were absent after they too struck a deal.
Nicola, who had picked up Alfie and driven him home, rushed the boy inside with his hood pushed up over his face to hide from photographers. Alfie stayed in all day.
Nicola said: ‘It is all very upsetting for us: Alfie hasn’t seen the baby for a day. I am not going to talk because Dennis is doing a deal in London but he will be back later.’
In the background a young boy, believed to be a family friend, shouted: ‘We’ll do it for £100,000 and that’s it, £100,000 and that’s the price.’
However, on Friday Nicola had said: ‘I can’t believe Dennis sold Alfie’s story without telling me.
‘When I looked at The Sun and saw Alfie’s little face staring back at me I almost fainted.
'Dennis has taken advantage of Alfie and Maisie. He called a newspaper yesterday and allowed photographers into the hospital.
'Dennis has told me he has got thousands for Alfie’s story but I don’t know if it is true. He said he told Alfie, “Son, I will make you money” when he got him to pose with Chantelle. He is only a child himself.’
Speaking to Alfie on the phone, Nicola said: ‘You would hate it here, Alfie. There are camera crews everywhere. I hope you are OK. Your dad shouldn’t have done this to you.’
On guard was Alfie’s half-sister Jade, 19. She is also believed to have had a child at 13 and is Nicola’s daughter from another relationship.
Jade said: ‘Dennis is so out of order. Alfie is a scared little boy.’
Meanwhile, there were allegations Chantelle has had three boys staying overnight with her at home in the past few months and a number of boyfriends in the past ten months.
Sean Thomas, 20, claimed: ‘She is not a young innocent girl who got pregnant with the first boy who came along.’
But Chantelle’s mother Penny said: ‘It’s rubbish, Chantelle lost her virginity to Alfie.’
This is absolutely vile and the parents are a disgrace.

Guilty as charged!
Being of good Irish Peasant stock, I am quite aware that things always need to be paid for, by someone. I also admit that I am quite fond of potatoes and butter, especially with ham and cabbage. Like spot says, loving your children is the absolute best thing you can do for them, but the second involves being able to feed them. The third involves knowing when enough is enough, so no more Wii's or TVs or expensive sports clothes, or any of that crap.

You really can't get the hang of this lyric thingy can you?
'Money' was covered by The Stones.
The correct lyric is NOT you can KEEP them:

I have sympathy for this lad. It looks like he's been used by the girl and his parents. What a suspicious out-look on life this lad is going to have? The people he cares most about have used and abused him. This is our baby who's about to become a father at 15 yrs old in 7 weeks time!!!!!!!

At least he has a great aunt like you to keep him in check. As you've stated before, your nephew is well cared for and has a loving family. Your boy will be fine.

Absolutey..... and why the family is not panicking over Craig being a dad at 15 yrs old.
His father was just 15 when Craig was born..... He would put many fathers to shame now. For him and my sis, it was true love and they are wonderfull parents. They have never looked at anyone else and live for each other.
This is Craig's dad 15 years later with their second youngest.

How many children did Craig's dad & mum have together? Now that is a nice news to hear Oscar and I commend them both for the love that has never gone out of their lives. Craig will be fine and things will work out especially as he has a loving built in support system called caring parents.:-4

My sis has just had her 8th baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Craig's dad worked really hard and went on to become a 'master builder' We don't see much of him to be honest as he's always working. They have a beautifull five bed house and they have never taken one penny in hand-outs. They really are an example that young love can survive and survive well. They have had their 8th because they love their children and are independently in a financial position to give them the best of everything just from sheer hard work. I'm very proud of both of them and I'm sure little Craig will take his fathers example. He already contributes hugely into caring for his younger siblings.

Is that the baby pic you just posted a few weeks ago with your sister? She is #8? Wow! Well good on them then. Boy, that is alot of kids but to each their own as I've got 4 myself. Hubs is a "master plumber" and works from dawn till dusk everyday but he spoils the lot of them:wah:. Craig will be fine and I'm sure of it. Sounds like he's got a good head on his shoulders for what is to come.

Yes, that was the baby i posted. 8 kids sounds chaos but my sis runs her home with military precision. All the kids have their jobs to do including picking the babies up from school and nursery etc and they do it well.
Even if Craig and his girl don't work out, they do have a large family all there to catch them if they fall. We have to remember in these cases as well that as with Craig, he is still a boy and wants to go fishing with Uncle Pete still. It's finding the balance really i suppose.

In that case with Uncle Pete, have Craig bring the baby along in the little carrier seat. I did crabbing with Quin in his little carrier years ago. No need to get a sitter and summer is coming up. I have done loads of stuff with my kids over the years without hubs being around...especially at the beach. Amazing on your sister's end...I guess she won't need the Nanny or Wife Swap:wah:
