From a newspaper:
"G20 summit: London prepares for lockdown
The G20 conference will lead to a London "lockdown" next week, with parks, roads and businesses closed to keep world leaders safe, Government officials are warning."
Why? Why?? Why should life in London be disrupted? Why not have this summit on the Isle of Wight, or somewhere where all[1] these idiots won't make such a nuisance of themselves?
[1] Yes, *all* these idiots...
Forthcoming disruption in London.

[1] Yes, *all* these idiots... I agree Bill.
I put a thread on last week concerning the police drafting an extra 2,500 officers into London after threats from protesters. They are threatening to dump tons of sand in the streets to stop impotant cars getting through or worse stopping the police getting through.
As an inhabitant of many a rock festival including the Isle of Wight, the police have dealt with thousands of people very well on those occasions, so why not?

Because they are too thick, Oscar, they couldn't organise a ssip-up in a brewery ! That would be too simple a solution.
Anyway, I believe this could be the start of general countrywide demos and even riots.

:wah: Very true Gill. I can see that with the global economy as it is, this will be one of the biggest Demo's they will have and possibly turn very nasty. One thing is for sure..... I will not be out lining the streets to welcome Obama.
