If you post something on a forum then I'd pretty much take it as a given that it's going to be read!

I didn't ask you to be rude to me either but that didn't stop you.

So you have MJ's CDs but you have no respect for him? I bet you haven't smashed his CDs though, have you?

You appear to have a very blinkered view of life.

How was i rude? I believe the title of the thread is MJ jokes, so i guess im wondering why you would come read them and complain. Why would i smash his CD's i paid for them long before the whole pedo stuff came out. If blinkered means honest that yea i do.

I have read and enjoyed the jokes, I don't think anything should be exempt.

Michael Jackson was an enigma, a victim of his upbringing, a brilliant entertainer, an unhappy troubled individual with many demons.

He was one of the most admired people on earth for his talent, and one of the most reviled for his shortcomings.

He was either an innocent or a massively evil person, nobody can really know the truth......only Jackson himself.

He has paid for his lifestyle, rightly or wrongly.

For all his talent and the riches it brought him he was a tragic looser in the quality of life stakes, seeking the company of children, to re-live a childhood he never had. Paying to alter his appearance, and going too far.

I personally feel deeply sad about his life choices, and sadder for his inability to have proper choices.

I replied:

Rapunzel;1209742 wrote: Sadly that's a part of life Bezzie. Whenever there's a major disaster . . . there are jokes about it. There are Holocaust jokes, Tsunami Jokes, Princess Diana jokes, Hurricane Katrina Jokes, even 9/11 jokes. Nothing is sacred. Maybe it helps people cope with the shock? :-2

You told me my comment was a disgrace and "NO" joke.

Had you read it properly you would have seen it as a comment on the state of the world today and in no way intended as a 'joke'!

I fail to see what you could even consider to be a joke in my comment!

You also added *another* tasteless joke of your own.

tracy829;1209750 wrote: As a result of his death, Michael Jackson's London dates have been cancelled, they were James (9) and Timothy (11).

Oh and comparing the death of MJ to Holocaust and 9/11 victims is a disgrace, that is NO joke.

I thanked you for your abrasive comment. You failed to realise this was sarcasm.

I explained my previous comments to you.

I am used to working with children and explaining the obvious.

I also added that I thought your jokes were tasteless.

Rapunzel;1209862 wrote: Thankyou for the smack on the wrist but I wasn't actually comparing them.

I was saying that all major disasters have jokes made about them.

I rather think it is your jokes that are the disgrace here!

You very rudely said:

tracy829;1209952 wrote: Thats ok i didnt ask you to read them, what i didnt tell you is that i used to love MJ i have 3 of his CD's,etc. but when someone gives kids booze and admits to sleeping in the same bed as them i lose all respect, he could sing and dance ill give him that but how people can overlook that he was a molester is way beyond me. Just because there are millions that choose to overlook that i never will.

So I replied to your puerile comment and I commented on your rudeness. You said you used to love MJ but now you have 'lost all respect for him' and you 'cannot overlook that he was a molester and never will'. Surely if your feelings for him are that repugnant then you would have smashed his CDs in disgust at his behaviour? But no. You keep them. Which shows a form of hero-worship for his music. So you have two very divergent points of view but cannot see what an oxymoron they are.

Rapunzel;1209958 wrote: If you post something on a forum then I'd pretty much take it as a given that it's going to be read!

I didn't ask you to be rude to me either but that didn't stop you.

So you have MJ's CDs but you have no respect for him? I bet you haven't smashed his CDs though, have you?

You appear to have a very blinkered view of life.

Then you became quite belligerent and rude again! Interesting behaviour for a newbie.

So, FYI, I can read whichever thread I please and I can comment on it too. Whether I like it or dislike it. It's all to do with having an opinion which one can share and also about freedom of speech. If I want to read a thread I can. If I wish to post a comment I can. If I want to say you're rude I can. If I want to complain about your sad 'jokes' I can. Now I have explained myself to you, it is a courtesy, don't expect it again.

tracy829;1209961 wrote: How was i rude? I believe the title of the thread is MJ jokes, so i guess im wondering why you would come read them and complain. Why would i smash his CD's i paid for them long before the whole pedo stuff came out. If blinkered means honest that yea i do.

And also FYI, blinkered doesn't mean honest, it means narrow-minded. You appear to have one point of view and cannot see that any other opinion exists. That should lead to some interesting conversations with you. Or not.

I agree. That's mostly why I posted the joke I overheard today. It's tacky. It's inappropriate. It's human nature. Everytime we skewer someone for daring to have an opinion or thought that is not ours, we lose. Jimbo hates the man as much if not more then I loved the little boy.

:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl Now thats sick but funny. My favourite kind of joke. ;) :wah: :wah:

And I just want to say that the comments I made earlier on this thread are not because I disliked the jokes but because I disliked the arrogant attitude of one poster. :-5

I actually thought some of the jokes were pretty funny. I don't know why but jokes following a major disaster or something that has shocked you, always seem a lot funnier. Or maybe I've just got a warped sense of humour.

Against my better judgement I keep coming back to this thread....don't know why because some of the things said here have made me angry.

There is no doubt that Michael Jackson was 'different' to us ordinary folks ..... BUT..... before you make statements about people being Pedofiles, please read all the background to the trials, accusations, accusers .....especially the accusers (discount the alleged victims for the time being) who if the reports are correct were money grabbing bullies (with scant regard for their own kids) who saw a chance to get money.

Of course you won't do the research because you've already made up your minds :yh_sigh

I'm sure there will be many reports, stories etc in the future and if you are proved to be correct in your views then you have the last laugh.

I'm sure there will be many reports, stories etc in the future and if you are proved to be correct in your views then you have the last laugh. You summed that up Bez.

Let;s see evidence eh? Of course they won't do the research. It;s far more fun to demonise the guy.

MJ had massive fame at what 6 yrs old? A bullying abusive father and further world fame. How could anyone equate his life with that of an electrician living in a terraced house in Cheltenham say?

From everything i have read on him, and again i am no physcologist, MJ trusted very few. As you said Bez, he had been bullied, abused and i suspect blackmailed all of his life by arssewipes just trying to get his money. It is obvious that over the years he became more and more withdrawn and trusted very few people. I really do believe that this is why he loved to be in the presence of children so much. Children have wonderfully innocent

minds untainted by the greed that adults have. Maybe this is where he truelly felt safe.?

Logic tells me a few things:

1) if he was a vile peado of the same ilk as Gary Glitter, then why allow a research journalist into your home? He wasn't that dumb.

2) If he was a vile peado, why did these traits not manifest long before he met Jordy Chandler and the Chandlers parents were pushing the friendship and flying all round the world with MJ on freebie's?

3) Any allegations have only come since the Chandler allegations and MJ paid them a total of $18 mullion. Why no allegations earlier in his life?

4) I have been watching the string of celebs paying tribute that were his very close friends. Why would the likes of 'Joe Pesche' be a close pal if he was a peado?

5) MJ was never arrested. The Sheriff who brought about the charges had nothing but the allegations of the boy AFTER MJ had told 'Martin Bashier' that he shared his bed on sleepovers with Gavin.

6) Why no warrent for arrest? Why did MJ volunteer to go and talk to the Sheriff over the allegations?

7) There was a history of hatred between MJ and the Sheriff who brought the charges. It was almost similar to the obssession J. Edgar Hoover had with the Kennedy family. During the Jordy Chandler case, the Sheriff said way back then that he would bring MJ down.

8) A Jury aquitted him. Where was the evidence?

9) The trial was based solely on the boy and his parents allegations. Given the publicity on Jordy Chandler, why were these parents even thinking of allowing Gavin to MJ's home alone let alone stay over night with him?

If he had admitted to getting boys drunk he would not have been aquitted of the charge of 'Supplying a minor with intoxicating liquid'.

Where is MJ's confession? If he confessed, there must have been a transcript for the court. Link ??????

If the jury found him not guilty of that charge, how could he have confessed?

I think that people feel so strongly one way or the other about MJ and need to voice their opinions on him. It's hard to stay out of threads when you feel so strongly about things. This thread and another one have bothered me so much, and I tried not to post.....but just had to:rolleyes:

Hi Tracy,

I honestly do believe that people think that he is innocent. You weren't here 2 years ago when we had MJ fans here. There was a huge argument between FG members. I posted what I though about him, and one member here told me that she hoped that I wrapped my new car around a pole and died an ugly death. Funny that so many people stated the same thoughts as me, but for some reason she singled me out.

I called her on it, and the only thing she said was that her sister loved him. No apologies were given to me. I now stay clear of her:D

Exactly and that is how it should be. I appreciate his music genius nothing more doesn't make me a pedo lover by any stretch of the imagination.

ALOHA!!

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

Don't worry about all the crazy arse stuff that goes on here Tracy. The way to stay sane and not get embroiled in some of the crap that goes on is to twirl your finger round at the side of your head, going CUCKOO CUCKOO at the monitor! Works for me!..... :D

Wow that is downright evil to say to another person, the stupidity of some people will never cease to (i wouldnt say amaze me) but more like, baffle me. Saying that to you proves that persons mentality, lame.

Well MJ was a pedophile, and remember they were JOKES, do you honestly think anyone in their right mind finds pedophilia funny? cmon now....Sorry but i find it more disturbing that people ignore the fact he was one and worship him.

Anyone that is upset with the jokes here had better avoid the real world. I heard more jokes in the first 3 hours of work yesterday than I've read on this thread.

Of course Peg... this is just a representation of the real world after all isnt it ,,its real people who post here:) and there will always be the ones who tell the jokes and there will always be the ones who dont like them:thinking: thats life,, thats people, I personally dont like sick jokes,, but understand no one is going to stop telling them just because i dont like them:wah: but as in the real world,, we can all say what we think ,, or just walk on by ,, its a personal choice i suppose,, i chose to speak,, others have probably walked on by:thinking:
