I'm not in the UK and today I'd rather fight you, and anyone else who comes near me but if you Google Amazon.co.uk

There is ONE collectible first edition

Amazon.co.uk: Used and New: Proved Innocent: The Story of Gerry Conlon of the Guildford Four

20 pounds, international delivery available.

Good luck.

Almost all of the links end up pointing back to Amazon and, like you, I will not use them.

I have, however, found :-

Read Ireland Book Database

but they're asking 50 EUR

Ah, better at :-

Gerry Conlon - Proved Innocent - AbeBooks

for £14 + £3.35 p&p - description reads :-

Book Description: Hamish Hamilton, 1990. Hardback. Book Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. First Edition. Couple of minute marls to top of unclipped DJ, otherwise in at least fine condition. Free from inscription. Bookseller Inventory # 003516

Interestingly, the same site has :-

Book Description: Hamish Hamilton, London, 1990. Hardback. Book Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Size F: 9"-10" Tall (228-254mm). Bookseller Inventory # 088729

for £10.29 (ish) from a bookseller in Sidney - right dates but does not claim to be a first edition, probably a later pressing

If you're interested and want me to get the first edition and post it on then let me know.

eBay doesn't at the moment but I note an interesting detail from the category chosen by various booksellers for the paperback:

Proved Innocent by Gerry Conlon

Fiction Books (7)

Non-Fiction Books (5)

One wonders what it might take to get the chap's name finally cleared, even after all this while.

thank you guys you've been a big help. thanks Bryn what I've decided to do is buy a first edition and when he comes to Australia next .....I'll get it signed. Finding one is like pulling teeth. People will either not let them go or want an extraundinary price for them.

It's a gift, so he'll just have to wait for the signature.;)

If you find one on Amazon or a site that wont accept paypal, I could buy it and you repay me through paypal.
