Hi Helen, yes it must be very difficult for folks down there, and any seaside resort areas. I know from my own experience that seasonal work is so insecure, and worrying, but sometimes in coastal areas that is the only work there is around! It may pay you to contact the stores to see if they have vacancies for 'cash-out' till operators part time? That sort of job is a sitting down one ;) You could take your brain off your feet for once :wah:

Odie, just to go against what I said yesterday...................................................

But just don't think this is going to be a regular occurence from this quarter, that's all! .................... :p :-6 :D

yes Mrs.:yh_rotfl

thank you.:-4

where is Helen today?:-5

I rang Helen up this evening and we had a good natter and laugh, she seems OK, just fed up with her four walls and no human contact, except 'vultures':lips: I wish I lived a lot nearer to Helen, then I'd be able to take her out in my car and make her life a misery :yh_rotfl

awwwwwwww nice that you rang her, as she was feeling so blue.

being alone is not easy as I know that one.

I wish I lived close to her, then she and I could become good buddies since we both live alone.

wow, you must have a great car eh?:yh_rotfl

so when some one DOES come in, i go off on a rant and it comes across like im having a hissy fit and they start heading for the door............... so i cant win

I'll sort out those officials.:-5

a good old rant is what I need, so well do that and gossip together.

You could move in with me, I have a really nice one bedroom apartment downstairs. We can drive to all the stores and sit outside every night and watch my birdies at their feeders.

I can take Wally for his walks everyday and I can buy a kids pool for him to play in.

Hello everyone!

Ain't no coffee to be found around this place :-5 Bunch of slackers ffs! :wah: How am I supposed to get better without coffee and fudge?

Nice and sunny day today and I took Midnight out for a run. Then I played tag with Miss Piggy. She hid behind her "house" so I couldn't tag her. Not like I can't see a big pig hiding :wah: I pretended like I couldn't find her and when I turned my back she came running and oinking and tagged me right in my butt :lips:

Hope you all are well and having a good day :-4

Hi each! Thanks Odie for rubbing it in Mrs grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Helen you'll have to ring them back and apologise, and say it's just the stress of all that is happening to you at the moment! You aren't aiming your rant at them, but at authorities, the electric company and all the other things that are dragging you down. Mind you I don't know whether they will forgive you for the black eye you gave them ! :yh_rotfl

Jazzy, I haven't been offered a coffee either Mrs, so it's not just you that is dippin out ! I reckon Odie has run out of coffee, fudge and brownies ! Not surprising really, seein as how we've been guzzling all the coffee and being gannets with the rest of the stuff! :lips:

You know I'm pee'd off with the racket that is coming from my neighbour the other side of the alley way! Since about 10 am she's been playing bloody rap rubbish loudly and she's got her flamin windows open! I HATE RAP ! It isn't musical, it's just garbled nonsense interspersed with foul obsenities with a dervish unvaried thump thump all the way through. DRIVES ME UP THE WALL!!!!

I feel like digging out my guitar amplifier, wiring it to my tape player, and blasting out Beethoven's 1812 Overture (the version with the proper canons in it) at full volume! I would think that it would be heard several streets away ! :yh_rotfl She may get the hint ?! :-5

Thanks for the warning Odie :wah: Get some coffee, brownies and fudge while you're out. :p Oh and hurry up ffs! :lips:

Ever notice how things happen when it's Sunday and the vets office is closed and that's when your pet decides to get hurt? :( My female Miniature Pinscher Lexie got her nail caught on the door curtain. Before I could help her, she pulled her foot out of the curtain and one of her nails is completely ripped off. Amazing how much blood there can be from such an accident. I applied pressure and thank goodness I had a product called "quick stop" which stops bleeding. Must have stung because she cried so loud :-1 At least I have all the medical supplies here that I need and she's now okay. I will take her tomorrow just to get it checked and maybe get her an antibiotic so infection doesn't set in. I swear it never rains but it pours :-5

Gill: If I had to listen to Rap music I think I would go insane. I HATE that as it's not music as I know it. Good idea to get your amplifier and blast some real music :guitarist

Helen: Hope all is well with you and Wally. I hate being cooped up in the house too and it can become depressing. I remember one time I was so bored that I counted all of the kitchen tiles :wah:

Hi each! I've been out a lot today, then watched TV, I did pop on FG for a short while early evening, but only went in the mod forum. I did have a quick peep around some of the threads as well.

I shall be going to our mobile home on Wednesday, for a few days and I have quite a bit to do at home before then, so I may not be on before I go, but I'll try!

Jazzy, I hope you soon get better, and I hope your poor little dog is OK. :-6

Helen, all the best with your sorting stuff out, I hope you can get proper help. Don't take no for an answer Mrs. ;)

Behave yourself, Odie, while I'm not here to keep an eye on you

Keep an eye on that Odie while my back's turned, please Jazzy!

Helen, I know it's hard to have Wally gone so long during the day but think about how much fun he's having. Better than him being cooped up in the house all day. I'm jealous that he gets to go swimming :( I hope you get to sit outside if the weather is nice.

I'm doing better and Lexie (my dog) is just fine after ripping her nail out. She's running and playing like nothing ever happened.

Its cloudy again...seems we get one day of sun and that's it, at least the long weekend looks good so far.......but then again, they don't know how to predict so that will all change!

Good morning everyone! :-6

Nice and :-6 today here and the temps are going into the mid-70's. It's about time we got some decent weather. :)

Helen thank you asking about my dog Lexie. She's doing just fine and it's one less nail that has to be trimmed :) She's a drama queen because if I ask her to see her paws she cries and runs and hides. If I ignore her she's running and playing like nothing happened :wah: I hope the weather is nice by you Helen so you can get outside. :-6

Gill, I hope you have nice weather as well when you go away for a few days. It's nice to get away and just relax without Rap music blasting your ears off :guitarist

I'm glad she is alright after having her nail yanked out.

Gill eats brownies and she is away so here is some coffee and fudge and chocolates for Helen!

well, when I started my computer back up.....all my bookmarks were gone.

Good morning/afternoon :-6

Stupid weather forecasters! They are the only ones I know that can be wrong all the time and still have a job! Sunny turns to rain and rain turns to sunny...I think they are trying to make me crazy and I don't need any help :wah:

Hello Helen and I hope you and Wally are doing well. :-4

Odie you have so many things go wrong at the same time, I feel sorry for you babe. I would have freaked if all my files were missing like what happened to you. I'm so glad it got sorted out! :guitarist

I hope Gill is having good weather and fun where ever she went. I also hope she comes back soon because I miss her :-4

Hi all, we're going tomorrow due to circumstances  so we'll be back middle of next week. Thanks for your kind words Jazzy, :-6 ;) and I know I will miss you all as well, as I won't be on the internet while I'm away :( Gawd, I'll get withdrawal symptoms ! It's scheduled to be warmer from today, so here's hoping. Although I don't like being in direct sunshine for too long, it will be lovely just to get the sun lounger out and chill ! :-6

Glad you got your PC sorted, Odie. I'm sure spot was only trying to be helpful and warn people to have their stuff backed up, so they aren't lost forever should the PC get hiccups again - very good advice. It's just the way spot tends to type, when discussing such matters. I have an 8Gb memory stick, onto which I've copied my important data, and which I keep topped up with things I need to save, including all the email addies, documents, photos etc. My hubby has a 4Gb memory stick (he doesn't gabble so much as me on the PC ! :wah:)

Hi Helen, when you log on ! Hope things are OK with you, and you are able to sit outside in the nice weather that seems to be settled over the country at the moment. Unless, of course it's raining in your neck of the woods! :-6

To everybody, have a good day ! :-6 :D

Hey you, glad you here today!:-6

'Has the event unnerved you sufficiently to do anything about this?'

He tends to talk like that just to me, everyone knows this.

and I don't feel like talking it about it anymore, especially on an open board.

- its not something that should have been brought up here, that's what pms are for.;)

lovely warm day today, rain on the long weekend though.:-5

again....enjoy your time away...time away sounds good today.;)

mornin all,

horrible wet day yesterday and i spent most of it sleeping !!

wally was at play school so it gives me a chance to take that air boot off and stretch out on the couch without fear of him jumping on it !!

went to see my daughter last night, she works for her father in law who has a mobile fish and chip van and goes round all the little villages so that people with no transport or cant get into town for some reason get to have fish and chips !!

i phoned her to find out where she was and went to get my supper :) and very nice it was too.

dont know what im gonna fill my day with today. im walking so much better now and was thinking about a quick trip to our local shop, not many yards away but think i mite wait til ive got someone with me.................. its far too public to fall down out there on my own :D:wah:

Hello Helen!

So glad to hear that you went and saw your daughter. I remember when I visited London how delicious the fish and chips were. Don't really have anything that can compare to them where I live. Ah, doesn't it feel so good to take that air boot off! Even though you are walking much better now just remember not to overdo it. It's wise to have someone with you when you go to the local shop in case you need some assistance. Sounds like Wally is enjoying his day at play school. It's great that that was an option for you so you can get some rest and he can go and play.

Don't tell Odie I was here because I'm not making any treats :sneaky:

hi jazzy and odie,

well back on line again.................

its been sooooooooooo hot here, been up early every day, doors and windows open, loads of washing out to dry.

yesterday i escaped for the afternoon. we went to a pub and sat outside in the garden and looked at the veiw across the bay............ the seals were following the fishing boats into the harbour........... hundereds of people on the beaches, it was wonderful. you dont realize how good it is til you've not seen it for a while and how much you take it for granted cos its on your doorstep

wally's been swimming again today, i cant take him at the moment for obvious reasons and now he's flat out.

im managing very well on my crutches now, makes things a whole lot better :D
