Would you allow the subject of religion to denigrate race? By allowing this thread you are approving misogyny & bad intent on the part of the author who is deliberately intending to inflame.

Well I apoligise if the thread is offensive, I had no idea it would be. Its a history of God's curse on Adam and Eve, which is in the bible for all to see. It explains why women have been submissive in history, and it was not my twisting or perverting of the bible, its right there for any to read. Now others may not like this history, but I was not the writer of this history, not the cause of it, nor have I misrepresented it.
I simply was explaining it. I thought it of interest. And I never agreed to not start more than 2 threads on site, I agreed to not start more than 2 threads in the religious section, and I have upheld that agreement. If I start a thread that gains no interest, I will stop working on the thread; and if I start one that is offensive, I will stop working on that as well. I see the Eve thread is gone, so its done and I again offer my regret and apology at the offense, which was never my intent.

Well yes, on the Eve thread, I was not ridiculing women, I was going over the history of it. I have no interest in who Anne hates or doesn't hate. And I'm not aware of their past run ins or how far it went.
I read through every thread put on this board if the first couple of posts do not grab me I move on . And I did read his thread about the oppression of women world wide because I was shocked that anyone in their right mind would justify the horrors women go through everyday into a neat little package about god and his purpose. His expressions are sadomasochistic to say the least. It's christian misogyny at it's best.
As Anne said what if it had been about Blacks? or children? or Jews........... There you go Jesus said 'let the blame for upon your children and your childrens children'..the Holocaust wrapped up and reasoned with in a nice little package, Cause god made em do it!!!!

You are absolutely entitled to your view but as I said, we went through all this before when Anne called for him to be banned. As she's just said, only one person agreed with her and Bryn stated Mikiel was going nowhere.

I do ignore his stuff. However, when I notice someone has replied to him & want to see the reply. That's when I can't help but see Him! If I see only his name I do ignore it. In this case, I had a feeling I knew what the thread was by the title, Eve. I did not read it, but when fuzz was answering, I am interested in what she has to say as I find her views interesting. I find everyone's views interesting here, except Him.

Anne is correct on this occasion. I don't agree with her because she is my own gender or in fact we agree on the same subject. She is correct because her arguments are correct and reasonable. You could not see that, and she asked for someone else to look at it ...which indeed you have now done under the guise of being under personal attack. Why would one report on one post when the whole thread of mickiels is offensive .........actually I wouldn't even call it offensive it's way beyond that and have stated in this thread as to why I didn't report a single post myself.

I don't want to bring family into this but what if your daughter had of read his statement herself? Would put a different connotation to it wouldn't it? It would personally be more serious . And that's what is being addressed in this thread...........Mickiel hasn't just put up a thread that is offensive but it's a personal attack on every individual woman and girl. You tend to see it differently if you've been there. Including the fact that mickiel IS NEVER WRONG..Anne is right, there is no reasoning with the man . He's the type who would say it to your daughters face and have no qualms about it because that's what he believes and that's the way it is . It makes no difference to him if we are offended or not .
I'm waiting for the next chapter in his book it just may be about Jews or blacks or children ...........one thing is guaranteed though because he believes it, it must be right .

I actually only read that thread this evening after I got back home. And after reading it, I gave my opinion.
I replied with my opinion. I hardly took offense. I think that is what you are supposed to do in a forum. No?
Upon your suggestion, I asked my daughter to read the thread, and offer her opinion.
Her reply was not unlike your own. "He's full of it." Case closed.
So far, she is the only woman that I know for a certainty has actually read the thread in its entirety.
By her own statement, Anne has not, and she is the one complaining the most about it.

Anne is correct on this occasion. I don't agree with her because she is my own gender or in fact we agree on the same subject. She is correct because her arguments are correct and reasonable. You could not see that, and she asked for someone else to look at it ...which indeed you have now done under the guise of being under personal attack. Why would one report on one post when the whole thread of mickiels is offensive .........actually I wouldn't even call it offensive it's way beyond that and have stated in this thread as to why I didn't report a single post myself.

A Formal Request
I think there are genuine issues and concerns. For the most part I don't enter Mikiels threads but I did browse a few posts in the thread concerned. I can understand fully the reaction that it got and its raised some strong emotions. It's too easy to say "Just don't read his stuff" If it offends, it demands a response and this certainly demanded a response. Could it have been handled better ? Sure ! Could Anne have reported or complained differently ? Sure ! but I think anger and indignation dictated a knee jerk reaction. My two penn'orth, for what it's worth, is maybe a sharp intake of breath and a reconvening of peoples thoughts before it festers any deeper
