How To Get To Heaven When You Die

Post by LarsMac »

4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

Isaiah 24:4-6

I just want to say that just because I post an article, does not necessarily mean that I agree with the article. I do believe that God is going to destroy the earth, but it won't be by flood, it will be by fire.

How To Get To Heaven When You Die

Why The Bible Is God's Word:

The bible was written through 40 men in 3 languages over a 1,500 year period. These men lived in different parts of the world, some were rich, some were poor, some were educated, some were not, most didn't know each other, many of them didn’t have access to the other's writings and yet it fits together as if it were written by one person, because it was inspired by God. It has no true errors or contradictions. There are countless prophecies which have been predicted and fulfilled perfectly in scripture. Many of these prophecies were written hundreds or even thousands of years before they were fulfilled.

The Predictions that Jesus fulfilled in His coming were in the hundreds. The verse on the left is the prediction written hundreds of years before He came and the verse on the right is where it was fulfilled in Jesus Christ’s actual coming hundreds of years later as testified by the actual eyewitnesses. It is impossible that He is not Messiah, Savior of the world. The ONLY person...past, present or future...who could fulfill all these prophecies is Jesus Christ

Yes there is, but actually there are three heavens that we know of. The first is the atmosphere that we breathe, the second is outer space and the third is above them all, where God resides. Paul said that he was taken to the third heaven:

It is believed that when Paul was stoned to death that he was allowed to see heaven (near death experience) and then God sent him back. Part of the reason I believe that God allowed this was to motivate him to keep spreading the gospel because he had already been through so much including being stoned to death. His body was battered.

Paul writes:

12 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

You need to decide who you think is more credible, The Greeks or the one who created the Greeks and everything else that exists. Jesus Christ created everything, He lived in heaven, then came down here and told us about heaven. He personally trained the Apostle Paul. Paul died and saw heaven (The 3rd heaven) first hand. He said that he heard (and saw) things that he wasn't allowed to repeat. He did say that it was "Far Better" than this world. Why wouldn't he be allowed to repeat these things? Perhaps it's because people would be committing suicide to get there. But only the saved will be permitted to go there in the first place.

Xfrod I will put it clearly. I trust in God. I do not need the very human book called "The Bible" to be like contract. Jesus himself was a human being albeit a very unique person. And to make Him into a God is to demean the very unique person he was. As for heaven that is questionable but I trust in God. I do not need all of this BS applied to Jesus.

Do you really trust in the Divine? That is questionable.

I trust in God. I do not need a contract such as the very human book "The Bible. I do not need all of those appendages that people put to Jesus was a very unique individual with a very special relation withe the Divine. No Jesus was not God. He was executed for treason and crimes against the state. To make his death an atonement is to make God into some kind of monster. Jesus was indeed a very unique individual who had an strong relationship with the Divine,

The Bible is a timeless book and is inspired by God. Do you believe this? If not, then what do you base your beliefs on?

Interesting that you claim to know a lot about Jesus, but you don't believe the Bible. What do you place your beliefs of Jesus upon if not the Bible? Also, Jesus Christ referenced the Bible as authoritative from God and expected us to believe it. Was Jesus wrong? Jesus Christ clearly claimed to be God in the flesh so I think you are way off base again.

The basis of Christianity is the Bible. There are many many reasons to believe that it is God's Word. The prophecies that I listed earlier that were fulfilled hundreds of years later is just one example. There really is no other book like it. Had those things not really happened, the eyewitnesses from Christ's day would have decried that they were false, yet no one, not even His critics did so.

Do I really trust in the Divine? I trust in the Lord God of the Bible and He has revealed Himself to me in many different ways. He has spoken to me many times and has performed true miracles in my family.

The problem with your argument is that the prophecies written hundreds of years before His birth in the OT, directly contradict your assessment.

Xfrod I do not believe the Bible top be the inerrant word of God. We do learn of Jesus in the Bible but really very little., I believe that Jesus of Nazareth was a very historical person but not God. To make Jesus in to God is to demean the very wonderful person he was. It is also to demean the very name of God. You turn God into some evil monster who needs blood to be shed in order to assuage his petulant anger. What kind of God do you worship? Certainly it is not the God who tells us that his concerns are justice and compassion. Jesus himself has said that "You have heard it said . . . but I say . . . He changed the law.

My trust in the Divine is based on my experiences of the Divine or the or Sacred. Just because the "Bible" claims to be from God does not make it so. Many of the ancient sacred scriptures make the same claim. Jesus was a very unique human being, and that is what he was. He had a unique relationship with God but he was not God. To make him into God is to slight the Divine and it is also a slight to make a slight against the most unique human who ever existed.

The stories in the Bible are just re-hashes of ones in other Religions, thousands of years older. Even if the people named as the supposed authors were to have existed (which I don't believe they did), then all they were doing was putting down a compliation of stories they had heard from other cultures, along with a bit of their own embellishment, which is how all legends originate.

Here is the issue for you. There are 1-200 or more prophecies in the OT of Christ's first coming that came true. There are zero writings historical or otherwise that refute the eyewitness accounts that attest to these prophecies being fulfilled. Then you have the miracles that Jesus performed to prove His deity. Who could do these things but God? The biggest problem that you have is the resurrection of Christ. Thousands saw Him after His resurrection and many hundreds saw His ascension into heaven. Shortly thereafter, you have an explosion of Christianity which spread all around the world. Think about this. To proclaim Christ meant death and torture for many at that time. A man may give his life for a cause that he believes is true, but is in fact false, but no man would be wiling to give his life for what he KNOWS to be a lie. Had Christ not really risen from the dead, His followers would have stopped proclaiming His name, yet they didn't. They gave their lives and were beaten, tortured and killed for their faith. They wouldn't have done that had He not risen. If Christ IS indeed risen, then Christ is indeed God in the flesh, the promised Messiah from the OT.

The entire Bible, from the OT to the New is about how God DID require a blood sacrifice because the life is in the blood of the animal. God does everything in a legal way in heaven and it MUST happen according to the laws of heaven. God the Father is the judge, satan is the prosecutor, Christ is the Attorney for those who place their faith in Him. If you don't have Christ, you have no Advocate and are therefore defenseless against satan's accusations before the Father in heaven.

I think you are confusing a Christian proclaiming God's truth with the Christian being angry some how. It's not anger, it's a warning that's done out of LOVE for that person because God doesn't want that person to have to be punished, but God will have to punish them if they won't accept His pardon through Christ.

Jesus fulfilled the law, now we are under God's Grace. Grace still requires you to place your faith in Christ for salvation, trusting in His sacrifice to pay for your sins that He died and rose again, shedding His blood for you.

God is the one who sets the rules, not us. If you don't like the blood being the price, sorry, but that is the way it is. Jesus already gave it for you out of love for you. Trust Him.

The problem with saying that your trust in the Divine is based on your experience with the Divine is this: Everyone has different experiences. Muslims have different experiences than Christians for the most part, Buddhists have different experiences than Hindus, ect. i don't believe what the Bible says, merely because it says so. I believe it because it's proven it's self to be the very Word of God. Don't you find it to be an amazing coincidence that all of those details of Christ's life were known hundreds of years before His birth in the OT? How would you explain that other than that it's from God? What about Christ's miracles. How would you explain that? How do you explain the resurrection? Why do the secular writings from His day and shortly therafter support the Biblical claim, but directly contradict the quran? I would agree that Christ is the most unique human that ever lived The reasons above are my reason for believing that. What are your reasons for believing that?

Xfrod I simply have a different view. I do not agree with you. There are some 23000 variations of the Christian faith and many claiming to have the only or the sole truth. You are right there with the other 23999 others., You have failed to convince that of all those people that you and you alone have the sole handle on the truth. I'm sorry but that is a joke and that is what gives faith a bad name. Basically you follow a faith based on fear and are afraid of the truth.

No they aren't except I will admit that the flood legends around the world may pre date the Biblical penning of the event, but they are not God inspired. Since there are flood legends around the world it really does point to the fact that there really was a world wide flood. The Bible says it was around 4,500 years ago. It wasn't penned in the Jewish, God inspired Scripture until Moses recorded it around 1400 BC. If they were merely penning down stories that were handed down as you claim, they wouldn't have known many of the things that we are now learning about the earth and the Universe. One such detail regarding the flood is how the "Fountains of the deep" were broken up at the time of the flood. You can view this tear in the earth by simply looking at Google Earth in the center of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a large tear in the bottom of the sea where the earth ripped open at the time of the flood and water that was inside of the earth sprang up. Interestingly, if you follow this tear in the earth it stops right at Israel.

Genesis 7:11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

They wouldn't have known that the earth was round:

Isaiah 40:22It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

They wouldn't have known that it hangs on nothing in outer space:

Job 26:7He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

They wouldn't have known many other scientific facts recorded thousands of years before their discovery.

Such as the fact that a baby's blood clots more on the 8th day after birth than any other time in their life, which is why God commanded them to circumcise the males on the 8th day. There are many other things.

I think we have had this conversation before. The Bible was completed around AD 90 and Midrash didn't come about until over 200 AD. I will admit that there are times when Jesus did use allegories to make a point and there are times when allegories are used. Many times the allegory is explained after it is used because there is always a literal meaning behind it.

It makes me sad to know that you were abused by your Church or whatever. I am truly sorry that men used God as an excuse to abuse you. They will have to answer to God for it one day. I was a victim of legalism and Spiritual abuse as well. I could have easily turned away from my faith if it weren't for the fact that I knew that it was true and that the God of the Bible is real. I left the Church for 12 years, but never stopped believing. God never left my side and ultimately, He is the one who brought me back and gave me purpose. I came to realize that not all fundamental Churches are legalistic and abusive. I came to realize that I could serve God and that He wasn't about taking away all of the fun out of life. Although it's not God's first priority to make us happy and give us an easy life necessarily, His first priority is to prepare His followers for eternity I believe. It's sad to know that you once had the truth about the Bible and now reject it. You need to get back to the understanding of the Bible. Don't let anyone push you away from the Lord. I go to Church for God, not the people. If I were to go for them, I wouldn't go at all.

Ted;1526256 wrote: Xfrod I simply have a different view.

I follow what the Scriptures actually say because I believe God. Why not believe God's Word? Instead of worrying about what the Bible actually says, you are focusing on how many Denominations there are. It's not a faith based on fear because I have no fear of death or hell. The only ones who need to fear are those who won't turn to Christ for salvation and most of them don't believe the Bible any way.

Christians Do go to heaven:

Mr 16:19 ¶ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Â*2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

(KJV)

Php 1:21 ¶ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Â*22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

Â*23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

Â*24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

People in heaven:

Â*Re 19:1 ¶ And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

(KJV)

Jesus came down from heaven

John 6:38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Jesus Christ is going to rule and reign on the earth.Â* The believers will be with Him on the earth at that time.Â* Right now believer's go to heaven to be with the Lord Jesus Christ because that is where He is.Â*

Do not lose sight of the fact that your words of God were decided by a single thug named Constantine whose control over the Bishops was near complete .

They left out every book that did not support Paul's slant on Christianity and gave you an abbreviated and sanitised version of what best suited one butcher and his vision of what best suited himself .

Introduce yourself to the Book of Enoch as a primer for a fuller history and upgrade your wisdom and understanding . imho .

FALSE The Bible was written over a 1600 year period LONG before Constantine was even born. It was not up to Constantine which books were in the Bible. They left out every book that wasn't written by the actual eyewitnesses to the events and they had to be written by an Apostle of Christ or an associate. The only exceptions were Jame and Jude who were half brothers of Jesus Christ.

The book of Enoch was NOT written by Enoch. It is no doubt a book that was used for history and wisdom, but not Scripture. The Gospel of Mary, Judas, ect. are also fakes that were not written by those bearing their name and not in their lifetimes. They also contradict the God inspired Scriptures.

Here is a snippet from WIKIPEDIA regarding the development of the Biblical Canon.

Irenaeus (died c. 202) quotes and cites 21 books that would end up as part of the New Testament, but does not use Philemon, Hebrews, James, 2 Peter, 3 John and Jude.[8] By the early 3rd century Origen of Alexandria may have been using the same 27 books as in the modern New Testament, though there were still disputes over the canonicity of Hebrews, James, 2 Peter, 2 and 3 John, and Revelation[9] (see also Antilegomena). Likewise by 200 the Muratorian fragment shows that there existed a set of Christian writings somewhat similar to what is now the New Testament, which included four gospels and argued against objections to them.[10] Thus, while there was plenty of discussion in the Early Church over the New Testament canon, the "major" writings were accepted by almost all Christian authorities by the middle of the second century.[11]

Constantine did NOT corrupt the Bible. Here is an article on it for you:

Did Constantine corrupt the Bible (perhaps at Council of Nicaea)?

I believe that Constantine started the Catholic Church which I believe it a corrupted form of Christianity because they don't strictly adhere to the Scriptures.

The story of Jesus being the Messiah is a blasphemy. Judaism set the rules but the followers of Jesus (not Jesus himself) tweaked it beyond all recognition. It's like presenting all of the historical proof of the earth being round (as opose to being flat) and finishing up with the botton line ... "and that is why the earth is a cube." In other words, Judaism introduced the concept of a "messiah" and set the parametres for what a (the) messiah ought to be and what its' function is to be. Then the Christ-followers came along and proclaimed Jesus the Messiah despite him fulfilling none of the most important messiah-criteria. Why invent a supersonic hoverboard and call it a hammer?

Actually, it's blasphemy to deny Jesus as Messiah. Jesus is Jehovah and gave Moses the 10 commandments on Mt. Sinai and He also gave Him the law, so Jesus does make the rules. Yes the Jews added to the law and corrupted it, we agree on that. Where in the Bible does it say that the earth is a "Cube" No it doesn't. It says that it is round. I don't even think the word cube occurs in the entire Bible. The OT made hundreds of prophecies about the Messiah and Jesus Christ fulfilled all requirements of the Messiah and although He has fulfilled over 100 prophecies, He hasn't fulfilled them all because many of them are still future because Israel rejected their Messiah.

FIRST: One man's blasphemy is another man's truth. It is not possible to blaspheme the blasphemer.

SECOND: You completely missed the "cube" analogy.

THIRD: Jesus did not fulfil the role of messiah and his followers actually defiled its' definition in claiming that he did.

FOURTH: Israel could not have rejected "their Messiah" (Christ) because the Jews defined it themselves. There is no 'other' messiah to measure.

Blasphemy denies the existence of God .

But people deny the existence of many , many things .

So what ?

It only becomes problematic when significant numbers deny the existence of something which actually is proven-- based on scientific process and conclusions .

God as a term used by you is just a self appointed power who had a special liking for Israelites .

The odds are that this God was very local and probably one of the Annunaki .

But , of course , there is no evidence that his kingdom was more than that .

And if you want to believe differently , so be it .

But do not assume that your articles of belief and faith are of any real interest to others. Or have real relevance .

1) It's not about man's rules. It's about God's rules. The Bible (God's Word) sets the rules. To deny Christ as Messiah, is to call God a liar because the Bible says He is the Messiah.

2) Remind me what the cube analogy was.

3) Jesus Christ DID fulfill the role of Messiah and Jesus Christ claimed to be God and was God. His followers were merely believing Him and His Word, the Bible.

4) The Jews DID reject their Messiah and it was not the Jews who defined the Messiah, it was God through His Word, the Bible. There are hundreds of prophecies that told where He would be born, when He would be born, that He would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver, that he would be killed, that He would be the Everlasting Father, that He would be rejected, and on and on and on....The genealogies in the Gospel prove His lineage and qualify Him as King. His miracles, fulfilled prophecies, death, shed blood and resurrection qualify Him as Messiah.

1) God didn't write the bible so its contents is fantasy reflecting superstition of primitive and unenlightened homo sapiens.

2) Jesus was not God's son. He was one of a thousand prophets who (as all of the others) talked about what he thought (or hoped) would be a good idea.

Blasphemy is more broad than merely denying the existence of God. Mocking God is blasphemy, whether the person believes in Him or not.

There is no reason to doubt the Bible as the Authoritative Word of God. The over 100 fulfilled prophecies, plus many more, the miracles of Christ, the eyewitness accounts matching with the secular accounts from His day and shortly after, the explosion of Christianity after His resurrection, plus my own person relationship with Christ. It's 100% true.

As pertaining to my Articles. You are not the only one who comes to this site. There are hundreds of people per day that view it.

You can make that assertion, but it's not true. God is very real and the Bible is His Word. Jesus was indeed God's Son and He was God in the Flesh. He created all things, knows all things, performed miracles, died and rose again. You call Him a liar, then you call Him a prophet. What kind of prophet do you think He is? He claimed to be God in the flesh and performed miracles to prove it. He fulfilled hundreds of prophecies. The Bible was written by the actual eyewitnesses to these events. He often referred people back to the Scriptures saying "Is it not written..."
