Iranian President Call for Israel to be Wiped off the map

I was just wondering what people think about this one, its getting a lot of coverage in the British media and Blair (with the qualified support of the other EU leaders) has made some pretty sharp responses to it.

Galbally, I have just finished reading Alexader the Great and Iran was no different then. I recently heard on the BBC a statement that "Iran could only ever be ruled by despots" it was made in a letter to the British Prime minister in 1926 Stanley Baldwin by the head of the house of Saud, plus ca change.

This is the area of the world I fear for the most, I just see no way out, and when you listen to the arguments you can agree with both sides and still be wrong/right. Israel will not back down, the hard line arab states will not either.

I know how u feel bothwell, I have met both israelis and palestinians and its very hard to see any short term solutions at all, well lets just be glad we don't live there.
