Are You Superstitious??

Today, while driving to the mall to get our Granddaughter her final gift, (a "Gift Card" good for any store in the mall) for Christmas, a BLACK CAT ran accross the road in front of my car.

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK, AM I GOING TO GET BAD LUCK? :wah:

(So far so good, got home with no trouble)

I was never that much of a superstitious person in my younger years. So once when I was on vacation in Lancaster-Pennsylvania Dutch country, (Amish country) I did a not so good thing! It was said that the Amish people did not like to have their picture taken & if you did take their picture that bad luck would fall upon you. Well, many years ago not being superstitious, I waited on the side of the road in my car with camera in hand, and I waited for a horse & buggy with Amish people going to church were passing bye. Well just as they got upto my window I popped up with the camera, and took their picture! Just then the Amish man, saw me and put up his hand to block himself & his family. The look on his face was not happy to say the least! :wah:

Well sure enough, for the next few years many "BAD" things happened to me, that should not have had happened. So. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ?????

No, you're luck will be fine. I have a black cat that sleeps on my chest at night. She's done this ever since she was a kitten. The first night I owned her, she curled up, settled down and went to sleep right on my chest. My luck isn't that bad, so I can't imagine yours is going to be bad now! :-6

There is a little known loophole in the black cat crosses your path /destroyed life forever scenario, now if only you had managed to hit the cat before it crossed the road you would be grand. But unfortunatly............oh well.....maybe you'll be reinCARnated.

Sounds like you're a cat lover Val. Guess you don't like my new signature line.

Hope you're right on the luck thing.

I wonder if the kitten's first night when she slept on your chest feeling your heart beating, might have reminded her of laying next to/on her mother.
