Has anyone played this game?
I just picked up Dell's first issue of Extreme SUDOKU with an X factor and am finding this very, very challenging.
The game is nine boxes of nine spaces (3 across, 3 down) with numbers in some of the spaces.
The goal, and this is not as easy as it appears, is to fill in the numbers 1-9 only once within each box of nine, and only once across the 3 boxes, and only once vertically down the 3 boxes, plus the x from each corner must also only use 1-9 only once.
I did my first "EASY" puzzel last evening. It took me a looooooooong time to do it, but I really enjoyed the puzzel.
For all of us who are looking for ways to keep our brains active, this is a very good one to choose.

Is it an electronic game? It sounds like I could play this on paper as well. Sounds incredibly challenging.

I agree with you Arnold...it does my head in too :-5

I can see how it can be addictive.
Yes, it is very addictive. My daughter wanted to try one and completed it correctly in a little less than 10 minutes.
How did you go about doing it, I asked!
I just look at it and go number by number and see where it fits in, she replied.
Guess my more logical figuring is way too time consuming. I'm going to try and wing it like my daughter did. Will let you know if it works better for me, or if this just isn't my forte. I will not let this stop me though. I will carry on.............

I had a mission to buy the grandchildrens presents yesterday and ended up in ToysRus (where else ?). I bought an 'electronic' SUDOKO for my 9 yr old Grandson and of course I had to try it out last night...guess what...I had to go back today and by another one for myself because I am HOOKED.
There are 3 levels of difficulty and I am struggling on the 1st....anyway...I'm off for another session....see yer..
I think they have stores in th US as well as the UK !!!

MATH!!!!
OK, I tried one and it involves MATH!! Math is NOT my strong suite.
Why can't there be any nice word fill in's online. I am much better with words.

Thanks for the info -- I shall have to check it out. I consciously try to play brain straining games to keep my mind intact and this looks like something easy to carry with me.

Alright, but I must admit - I really like the word stuff better then the number stuff.

My mom had a pretty addictive solitaire game at one time. Then my daughter "borrowed" it for so long that mom forgot it was hers.
I haven't seen any word ones, but since a shopping trip is now planned into my afternoon - I will keep my eyes open.

Just returned from ToysRus. They were OUTof the electronic Sudoku! Oh well, now I have a quest. There is always tomorrow.............
Didn't see any interesting words games either.
Sure hope that truck comes in bringing more stuff, and soon..........

I've tried them. Very tricky. Last year, at my school, my math teacher made us do those ALL OF THE TIME.

Ok - it has been three days and I have yet to "win"!! This is soooo frustrating! But you know I just can't not try until I beat this darn thing at least once.

Maybe I need to find a different version, because this easy version doesn't seem to be all that easy!
Or maybe I should stick to word games afterall. :-5
