Bullet's Fundraiser

Post by BabyRider »

We held it tonight, and wow....what a blow-out!! We had club brothers donating all kinds of things to be won in raffles, everyone pitched in and made some incredible food, even my own boss, who hates bikers, donated gift certificates to the restaurant side of the bar.

The first contest was the 50/50. A bunch of guys from the Iron Mustangs bought tickets, and immediately handed their stubs over to me, so if they hit, Bullet would get 100% of the money instead of 1/2. Well guess what? One of those tickets was the one pulled. So we got the entire amount from the 50/50 drawing.

The next thing to be raffled off was a set of watches, one for a man, one for a woman, given as a set. Guess who hit that one? Yup. Me.

Blew me away. I told Bullet, "If we win anything else, I'm not coming up to claim it, they're going to think the whole thing was fixed!!"

Fortunately, we didn't win anything else, but the take from the cover charge, the HUGE batch of Jello shots, and the drawings, we walked out of there with over $1,500!!

There were a bunch of clubs represented tonight, too, which is always a good thing. All the Blue Angels, of course, Prejudged, Knights of the Road, Vietnam Vets, Highwaymen, Vigilantes, and Iron Mustangs were all present.

I love it how this community of bikers bands together to help one of their own when the sh!t hits the fan. You find out who your true friends are.

All in all, a great night was had by all. Made some new friends and caught up with some old ones.

Like the saying goes: "Bikers have more fun than people do."

Thanks gang, it was a huge success. I appreciate all the support we get from all of you, too. It helps knowing people around the globe are pulling for us, just as much as the monetary support helps.

Flops, I gave you the date, and was really hoping you were going to make that road trip you hinted at!!

That's ok, when we have the dismissal party (or the "not guilty" party) maybe some of you can make it up for that. I have no doubt it will all work out, our lawyer is a total bulldog and knows everyone in the system and is even buddies with the prosecutor. He says we pulled the best judge we could have and is positive about getting him exonerated. Time and money is all it takes. We've got the time and the money is coming.

Bullet is having his surgery for his neck this coming Wednesday, so that is one more obstacle out of our way.

I can't adequately express what your unwavering love and loyalty and support means to me. It's a special bunch in here, and I love all you guys. :-4
