Happy Easter!
I didn't realize until this past Monday that Easter is this Sunday coming up. No young children living at home now.
Easter brings back memories of new black patent-leather shoes, a little hat with flowers on it, jelly beans and ham and potato salad for dinner. The Church would be decorated with lovely white lilies. As a Catholic child, I observed Lent and had to "give up something" which usually was candy. So Easter was a treat to be able to enjoy sweets again. We also had an Easter egg hunt at the park by our house in Chicago. Rectangular wood blocks of different colors were hidden in the area, and prizes were awarded accordingly.
