Got our new Computer

Well, we did it. Went out this morning and bought this new laptop. It is a Compaq. But, I learned that Compaq is now owned by HP, so the service, warranty and stuff is from them.

I need to spend some time getting used to it, the mouse pad thing will take some getting used to, but I think I will. I do have an extra mouse, which I plan to install.

It already is set up for if I want to switch to broadband. Also, it has considerable more memory to it.

We are going to get rid of Rick's computer, and use mine as a back up.

The laptop mouse does take some getting used to, doesn't it?

Good for you, Marie! A new computer! You will get used to the laptop mouse, it is strange at first.

This will explain why I won't be on much the rest of today. I want to organize the dexktop, get rid of stuff I won't be using, and make some folders for the other stuff.

Plus I have to go to Circuit City's website, and do the rebates. We have a rebate for the computer, $50 and one for some softwear we bought. It is called Spy Sweeper. It is the spyware blocker. The price was $29.95 and we are getting a $20 rebate. The geek there said it was a good program.

This mouse pad thing is giving me fits. I will concede that I hooked um our external mouse when I was fixing the desktop, and moving things around, just to get things done quicker.

There are some times when I will prefer the external mouse, like when I am playing games, and need tomove quicker, but I hope I get usd to this.
