Hugs are great. And as long as we know you *want* us to open the package, we will. But without other notification, we're leaving those to be opened by her. I've been away for a few days, but as soon as I catch up with Mamarider tomorrow, I'll let everyone know the status of packages. We're getting too many cards to acknowledge them all, much as I would love to recognize everyone that's sent one, but I'm keeping note of packages received and will let the senders know that they have arrived.

Not sure of the Bloomie's package; I'll let you know if we get two

Should I send one back, if we do? I'd hate for you to get charged twice.

Oooookay....wow, there's lots more to this than the last time I looked.

Medical update on Criss - she is back in ICU. There is a blood vessel behind her eye that is requiring some attention; the blood in this vessel is not circulating properly, and it's accumulating behind her eye, causing a great deal of pressure. This was noticed on Friday night, and so she was moved from the rehab facility to another hospital - NOT Mt Clemens Regional, so don't send cards there. Cards that are in the pipeline will get forwarded, but don't continue to send cards to that address. Right now, the best addresses for cards are either Criss's home or Mamarider's.

So....the eye. The doctor that examined her did some testing, took over a thousand MRI images, and diagnosed what it was. I'm not sure of the terminology, and I don't want to put incorrect info out here, so just suffice it to say that the doctors know what's up. The situation is, according to the doctor who examined her, "urgent but not an emergency." They have her in the ICU room closest to the nurses's station, so she is within sight of anyone at that station. She's being closely monitored, and the procedure to correct the blockage behind her eye will take place on Tuesday, the fifth. Updates will be forthcoming late in the day, Eastern US time, on Tuesday.

Tuesday afternoon is also the first court appearance for the miserable excuse for a slime-sucking bog toad that put her in the hospital to begin with. I will be there, along with the local MADD representative, with whom I've been in contact since a few days after the accident. Depending on how the defense wants to play this, it may not even go before a judge. I'll report on that, as well.

I love all the optimism here. It's helping hold me up, too. But our girl isn't out of the woods yet. Keep the beams coming, everyone.

This is a shock to see a backwards step when BR's been doing so well.

My thoughts and prayers and well-wishes are intensified and heading her way tonight. God Bless BR.

I believe Dawn mentioned that she and BR have Native American blood, so I found a peace pipe and blessings for her so that all the Gods she believes in are blessing her right now.

They know what to do and BR is in very good hands.

I don't know BabyRider very well or for that matter, any of you. But I ride a bicycle and I know the very great dangers in that. I am so sorry BabyRider was hurt so bad, and I pray for you BabyRider and for the whole family, pray for strength for you all and for BabyRider to get well. I just posted in a thread started by BabyRider so I feel like I know her a little.

I would love to know all the connections as in Mom is home(who is Mom)and this is flopstock talking with the same avatar as BabyRider. I did see the picture of MamaRider,PapaRider and BabyRider(with a name) maybe Pinky.

Mom is MominIowa. She is battling cancer. She has to travel for her treatments so sometimes she isn't able to get online and we worry about her.

Flopstock - she is the forum Mom, so to speak. She looks after us all and is the one to put us into place when we are out of line. LOL!! I met her over the weekend - she is a warm and caring person with a wicked sense of humor.

Pinky is from England and the "British Contingent" paid for her to come over and see BabyRider. So, the picture you saw was of Pinky, MamaRider and MamaRider's husband.

I also have to ditto what Cher said. The love, support, prayers, and healing beams coming from the combined efforts of this wonderful place WILL help pull Criss thru this turmoil.

I just stepped up the intensity of my prayers and am asking for healing light and guardian angels to surround Criss and her family so that her recovery will be swift.

I also wish at this time to tell floppy, pinky, and all the others here who have kept us informed with such effiecncy and gone out of their way to make sure Criss knows how much we love her that I love you guys too.

Now I gotta quit cause it's hard to type thru tears.

Thanks for the continuous updates Floppy and Erinna. This sounds like progress to me. I've been beaming for the eye since I knew about it and now the specialists are on the case. This is great. A big hug for MamaRider, too who kept it going there. And a big hug for Papa and SisterRider for being so strong.

My prayers continue to beam for all of you.
