Betty, that picture did no justice to your boots at all! You should have been wearing them and then they would have looked as stunning as they really are. I note that you took little persuading in Debenhams :)

My son is having a big tantrum :-1 It's at times like this I wonder if he would be better off with his Dad, at least he's bigger than me and can fend him off.

Oh, that is too bad, BB. How old is your son? Is it an adolescent phase he will eventually grow out of?

Not being a parent myself, I do not feel right giving advice, as I have never been there. BUT...as a counselor, I would be concerned that having him live with his dad would not give YOU the respect you need from your son, nor the ability to know what to do to help him control his outbursts.

How is YOUR relationship with his dad? Is it good enough that you can work this out together to determine what is best for your son?

Good luck.

There is no relationship between me and his Dad, he only ever speaks to me in snarls, if he actually knew the way my son behaves sometimes he would take him from me as he would be convinced that my son is this way because he doesn't want to live with me.

My son is nine and has Aspergers, when he gets this way there is no reasoning with him. We'll have a chat when he's cooled off. He is very angry with me for taking him away from his home with Daddy, things are changing again as we are moving house again soon and no doubt his behaviour will get worse over the next month or so, he just can't cope with change.

Poor Sunny. Well at least it's not dark over there.

I've just warmed up and eaten a spare dinner given to me by my ex-wife. If you never hear from me again you'll know why

Are you on good terms whith your ex? Seems like you must be.

I was never allowed in the kitchen when I was still married so I rather enjoy cooking now. I can make it to suit my taste. Well not really. If my daughter is going to eat I gotta keep the spices to a minimum.

Yeah we talk now. I think it annoys her a bit that my daughter often tells her I'm a much better cook :wah: . I couldn't cook when I was married as it was always there when I got home. It was my brother who taught me so well.

He started off by saying, you get ingredients, apply heat, then eat. Simple.

I'd never looked at it like that.

I eat much healthier than before. I only warm up frozen dinners that I've cooked myself and I only use good ingredients. No fat or crap.

I love to cook cajun so its really not real healthy. The few things that start off healthy gets a lot of sauce put on them so they are not real lean.

For instance, cajun fried cabbage. You fry a few slices of bacon then set them out and leave the grease. Yo fry the cabbage in the bacon grease then when its brown you cruble the bacon and add it back and a half cup or water or more if you want and add some cayenne pepper then put a lid on it and simmer for about 15 minute until tender. I have found that my favorite, jambalaya, is so much easier to make using a mix called Zatarains. JUst as good as adding all the ingredients yourslf and making a roux.
