Does anyone watch Dateline?

Dateline is doing this series called "To Catch a Predator". I am sorry, but it really cracks me up.

An undercover group chats with men online, posing as underage children - 13 to 15, boys or girls. They set up a time and place to meet and Chris Hanson from Dateline is there to greet them. The police and Chris both have copies of the chat between the men and the undercover - often times with web photos of the guys and their genitals!

It is horrifying that so many men are out there wanting to take advantage of our children.

But it is so very funny to watch these grown men with their bags of sex toys and condoms trying to talk their way out of the situation that they have gotten themselves into. And how many try to say that they had no intention of having sex with these children, they just wanted to "make new friends"! And the number of them that have seen the show, but still go is staggering! You would think that watching man after man being taken down in a front yard would make them think twice.

My daughter (MeTal Bean, to some here) is 19 and she has a myspace page that she has had for a couple of years. The rules when she joined were fairly simple, yet strict. She is not allowed to have people on her friends list that she doesn't actually know (from school), she is not allowed to post personal information on her page - she has our home state listed but no city - if she recieves a message from a friend which contains a phone number or an address, she must edit that information out as soon as she reads the message. She is not allowed in chat rooms.

I am so surprised at how many men keep showing up since this has been on Dateline many times. Oprah backs up Dateline/Predators

What is real scary are the men's profession - Teacher's - Rabbi - Fireman....

These are the people I was brought up to look up to - your suppose to be able to confinde in/trust. Amazing sickens me..

This is about the 3 or 4 one of these they have done. It is disquisting how many pervert there are out there preying on our children. What stuns me the most is they actually think there is nothing wrong with this. :-5 Some are very professional men getting caught big time.

I love watching them try and squirm out of it, and then be taken off in handcuffs..

That's a great show, with excellant results. No good pervs

It reminds me of that lady (can't remember what she does) that sets hersefl up in various forums/message boards and weeds out people that appear to be terrorist sympathizers.

This is giving me an idea....we could organize women who have the time....

"UNDERGROUND GRANNIES".....and they could be on the watch for all SORTS of criminals, including those nasty scammers from Nigeria! :wah:

They could have uniforms and identification pins and conventions and drinks named after them as they fight for TRUTH, JUSTICE and HONOR!

Don't MESS with GRANNIES on a MISSION!

You see those looks on their faces, most of them know they are busted but there are a few clueless ones. Some think they are actually going to walk out of there only to walk into a wall of cops. :yh_rotfl I get a kick from imagining what must be going through their minds - realizing with quickly growing panic what their friends and family will think, what their wives and children will do, that they'll get fired from their "soon to collect a pension" jobs. So I may engage in a bit of schadenfreude but it's satisfying to say the least.

It IS funny, isn't it? How stupid do you have to be (or how "RANDY") to think you can just chat on the internet and then have sex with a willing child?

It must be very gratifying for the police to catch them! But...how soon will they be out again?

it's unfathomable to me that a kid would tell some creepy old guy to come to their house and have sex with them, especially after seeing the naked pics
