Trying to quell the anger.....

I've had to write this on a new thread because I refuse point blank to bump one of the irritating 'sales' threads to the top again!

Grrrr! These things annoy the hell out of me! They clutter up the page and make it look untidy, and can I also point out that they hardly come under 'general chit chat'

Now that my rant is over - can I politely ask if an invigilator (sp) can delete these at all?

we used to have delete ability...don't anymore. all we can do is hit the report button. i have PMed complete insults to both spammers.

last year admin asked us to not reply to spam. so i don't, i just PM them really nasty threats:wah: .

You can do more than that, if you can trace the user's account or web-site. You

can report the post, includind details and URL, to their ISP - terms of use are

passed "down the line" - so, if the post contravenes FG's terms, it will normally

contravene the ISP's terms, and get the spammer TOS'ed. This also works well

for e-mails of the 419/Nigerian scam or "Make Money Fast" type. Enjoy!

Enjoy!oh i know...we have an internet crime unit. i had a stalker once, a freaking DENTIST for christ's sakes! pillar of the community. i had to send his local police to his house to make him stop, once i ascertained the address. who in their right mind stalks a COP???
