Do you still live there?

Post by buttercup »

Do you still live in the same city you were born in?

How do you feel about that?

Did you ever feel like leaving?

Are you likely to die there?

For those that left

Why did you leave?

How do you feel about that?

Will you ever go back to live there?

For myself

Why did you leave?............. I was young & so had no choice

How do you feel about that?............. Hated it at first but realise why the family thought it was a good move at the time. I'm now glad they did.

Will you ever go back to live there?................ Maybe for a short period, couple of years but not to settle.

No. I was born in Lynwood, California and lived in Pico Rivera CA.

How do you feel about that?

Just fine.

Did you ever feel like leaving?

No, I was 8 and never wanted to move.

Are you likely to die there?

No.

For those that left

Why did you leave?

My parents didn't like the rat race or the school system and we lived in an area that was becomg too scary with crime and race problems.

How do you feel about that?

They made a good call. Growing up here was a wise move.

Will you ever go back to live there?

Never.

Yes I do

How do you feel about that? I always thought I would never leave here because my entire family is here, but some are moving away eventually so I am not sure now.... I love this city, the growth it has gone through is amazing, we went from small town quaint to big metropolis over 40+ years, and we are close to the mountains, we have 2 rivers, no lakes but hey we manage.

Did you ever feel like leaving? At times yes, but my folks and kids keep me here for now

Are you likely to die there? Not sure on that.

For those that left

Why did you leave?

How do you feel about that?

I was born in Newark, New Jersey (the armpit of New Jersey) and have no intention of ever living there. Later moved with family to Paterson, New Jersey

(another armpit) and have no desire to even vist the place.

That's one advantage of divorce. If my parents had not divorced, I might still be living in that armpit of a city.

No, I was born in Larne (where the boats come in) and now live in Belfast.

The first time I left was because my dad's job took me and mum with him to Saudi Arabia for 3 years.

The second time I left because of work in Belfast and the travelling became too much. I moved up here when I was 21 and still love being here. I go home quite often to visit my folks.

Would I move back to Larne?? Sometimes I think I would because I miss the amazing scenery of the North Antrim coast. As the saying goes - Never say never:)
Very nearly perfect ... :D

I was born in Ascot which was the closest hospital to Bracknell, I still live in Bracknell

How do you feel about that? I like living here, quiet here but close enough to busy towns.

Did you ever feel like leaving? Only felt that way once or twice in the last 5 years.

Are you likely to die there? Yes.

For those that left

Why did you leave? I did leave Bracknell when I was 16, moved to London for work.

How do you feel about that? I was glad that I tried it, but was too busy for my liking, hence my move back to Bracknell.

Will you ever go back to live there? No.

Good questions BCup :-6

I was born in Chicago and lived there till I was 13. I have mostly good memories of the place.....from a childs eyes. I would not want to live there now as an adult. From what I've seen from afar, it's not the same. I don't think it could ever be the same....from an adults eyes.

Do you still live in the same city you were born in? No.

How do you feel about that? I don't feel anything about it, really.

Did you ever feel like leaving? No.

Are you likely to die there? No.

For those that left:

Why did you leave? For better opportunities.

How do you feel about that? It was a big change, but it was inevitable.

Will you ever go back to live there? Yes, I return nearly every year, shedule permitting.
