That is because most women get their ears pierced.I got mine done at sixteen when it was not all the rage.

I used to be a M.A. and Phlebotomist, I had to take an x-ray of young teenager , who the doctor thought had pneumonia, and she had her nipples pierced, and she was very angry that she had to take them out.
