should be back here at the weekend, think me friends are going home on friday so i'll have a bit of me time over the weekend.
poor old wallace now thinks he's an orphan keep getting really black looks from him, more so as i came home with front line and worm pills for him, not his idea of a pressie to make up for being neglected :wah:
I just love this thread:-4 welcome to Angie and Weeder. i have to say Angie yes it is a good place here and we do get to know each other and are there for each other as much as is possible, and its so good. Theres also lots of other people in this forum That are nice and so supportive when you need it.
I want to say how pleased i am Carol that you are still here posting, ( i got a bit worried when you said you were taking a break). i have got to know quite a few people so well on this thread , people who in fact i already knew (just through the internet) before this thread was even started, and now i am getting to know even more, But i have to say this and i dont mean to upset anyone.......Carol and Gill are very special to me indeed, they do feel like close friends. I dont mean that everyone else here doesnt mean something to me, they do, and i was nearly in tears actually when Joan said she may be leaving. But those two have come to mean something special to me and i justt wanted them to know that. I dont know why im being so sopppy the last few days, i mostt probably will be back to my P' takin self quite soon:D:wah:

We should have been going on holiday this coming Friday to Great Malvern where we had a cottage booked to enable us to get around and visit my brothers and sisters still in and around the Midalnds
(five sisters and three brothers !! and I am the eldest )but Tony would never have coped in his present condition.
Well this is just a quickie so I will pop in if and when time allows so take care of yourselves.

I cant believe you read it all lol but so glad our little thread here made you join FG. Its a nice site with some lovely people on it unlike so many out there. One of the "troublemakers" who tried to bring this thread down I knew exactly who they were and when I confronted them that they were out to make trouble here they just denied it as cowards do behind a screen.Anyway as I have said its been sorted now and from away from the screen may I add.Life is hard enough as it is with all its twists and turns and heartbreak we all have to go through......here we dont need or want it. Im sorry you have been through some bad times Angie but now you have us here hopefully we can be here for you in future x

Hello everybody ! What an awful day, blinkin rain , likely to last all day as well. grrrrrrrrrrrrr to pinch somebody's favourite saying :wah:
Well it's lovely to see some new faces, and to welcome back some 'old' ones.....
Kay, hello, you aint said how 'Loo.......k' is. Hope all is OK with you.
Joan, thinking of you. So sorry your holiday trip has not happened for you and Tony. (((((((((( hugs for you all ))))))))))
Helen, Hi - enjoy your day !
Lasgo, nice to see you again and I hope you're OK !
Angie, hello there, you are most welcome ! Very chuffed that you like our zany thread and that you managed to read it all !!!!!! Must have kept you out of mischief for quite a while matey :wah:
Hi Kathy E, sorry I forgot to say that Mevagissey was on the South coast of Cornwall - thanks Helen for sorting that !
Hello Cher, it's so nice that people think we have a lovely thread here. It's only because of the lovely people who write good and interesting things on it. And there is definitely a caring feeling all through it. Oh yes there's quite a bit of 'leg-pulling' on here, but we all know that it is never meant to be offensive, and we all understand that. We're here to enjoy each others company, joys, sadness, problems, grumbles, but most of all we're here for each other.
Carol, love the photos, it's nice to see where me mates live ! It makes it all seem more personal, the family album sort of thing if you see what I mean.
Bless you Kaz, you are such a good friend mate, and I know you've made your mark on so many threads on FG, and you've made so many friends all over the site. ((((((((( hugs to Kaz ))))))))))
Jimbo, Hi you nutter, please don't change ! I cracked up at the Arnie piccy :wah:
For some time now, 4 or 5 weeks, in our area we have been plagued by a few so-called 'monkey bikes'. Where I live, our house over-looks a childrens' playpark, where there is a fenced off area in the middle of it with safety surface, a roundabout, swings, climbing 'castle' structure, slide etc. this is surrounded by a grass area with a few young trees, where the children are able to play ball games. We literally overlook this park area, being higher up the hill. It is a fairly pleasant residential area, and the local children love the playpark and it is very popular.
Yesterday late afternoon, a monkey bike was being driven across the grass area of this park and along asphalt footpaths that bordered it. It would then veer onto the road and disappear along other roads in the area, then reappear and tear along these bordering footpaths at more than 30 mph ! At this point we became just a tad angry, because he could knock a kid down, if one should run out of an alley way between the houses onto the footpath and infront of him. So we called our local police station, gave a fairly clear and detailed description of this pratt. They said they would send somebody straight away. After about 20 minutes, still no sign of police, and the pratt was still tearing around all over the place – no helmet, no reg. plate, no tax disc, no insurance, no MOT, no bloody sense. So a return call was made to our local ‘nick’. ‘Oh, they’re on their way right now, should be there any moment’. Our local ‘nick’ is only about a mile away as the crow flies, so we stood in the middle of the room and looked out of our window and waited. A few minutes later two ‘off road type’ motorbikes, same red and white paintwork came fairly swiftly up the road the other side of the playpark to us, the riders (dressed in black and yellow leathers) seemed to be looking all around, then suddenly they braked, did a ‘U’ turn in the road and veered off the road and up the grass, and disappeared from our sight. We thought that they were just another couple of ‘bikers’ who’d spotted some pals……………………at first. Aha, we felt that it was inspired policing ! You didn’t really notice the chequered plate above the headlight, or the county police crest on the rear side panels, or the police crest on the chest of the rider, or (from the front, at any rate) the large ‘POLICE’ letters on the backs of the riders.
That ‘monkey bike’ rider was well and truly nicked. Nearly an hour later a ‘low loader’ tipper arrived and the ‘monkey bike’ was loaded on and taken away to the crusher. The rider will no doubt be appearing in court in a few months time. ‘Monkey bikes’ are illegal on our roads, they may only be carried to an ‘off road’ area to ride with the land owners permission. If any ‘monkey bike’ is seen being ridden on the public highway, the bike will be confiscated and taken away and crushed.
The sad part about this story is that the ‘monkey bike’ rider was a man in his 20s ! He was a family man with children of his own, and yet he was recklessly riding that machine at high speed around a childrens’ playpark. Some people haven’t got any sense at all !!!

Hi everyone, just thought i'd let you know incase you missed the thread, Jim won't be around for a while, he has been taken into hospital, he is having an operation tomorrow, he smashed his finger and a metal spike went in 1 side of his finger and out the other end, the end result is that he has infected the tendon sheath and the infection has started travelling up the arm. I will keep you all updated.
