Back from SanFransisco
It is 11pm Monday. Just got in from the trip to SanFransisco. After a week of travel, I begin my new career tomorrow. I am glad to be home. Crazy thing is as a former New Yorker.... I found the " Big City" to be unnerving the first day. I guess 12 years in the country has really changed me. It was great to visit all of the big department stores, and to be back in an enviornment rich with ethnic diversity. Great food. Lots of noise. We stayed in a five star hotel. Incredible experience. I met all kinds of people, had some really great conversations. There were so many people there from Australia and England. Germany, Belgium and Canada as well. I still really love the Shenandoah Valley, here in Virginia. Id like to keep it as my home base, and travel to all of the places I still want to see. I must have walked 50 miles while I was there, and I want to keep that routine up, back here. I hope you have all been well. I mentioned FG many times to many of the people I met. Its funny how many of them dont seem to understand what a discussion forum is. One funny incident is that the hotel was positively crawling with great looking men. I was on the elevator with this woman and I said" My goodness there are so many great looking men here. She said, " Yes they are all gay" I thought ... how the heck does she know? Another woman said " It is the GLBT MB convention. Oh.... I said. Thinking " What the heck is that?? It is Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transdgender.... Masters of Business Convention.
Well.. firstly, I really have become a dinosaur. And secondly, how great is it that I was in a place where these obviously brilliant and successful people could openly come together, be themselves, and be honored for their achievements. It was good to touch base with a part of the country that embraces the concept of people being so different. I feel renewed and very alive.

So glad you had a good trip, Weeder. I think San Francisco is a lovely city. It's on the same latitude as Sydney, the other side of the equator. Lots of Aussies there, as San Francisco or LA are the first US arrival points from here.

Thanks kids.... Im getting tired now.... 14 hours of travel yesterday. A little food, a little wine...... I am very glad to be back in my tiny apartment... listening to the violin music from Lavender Ladies... Sold my first policy today. Only one.... but its a start. i feel good because the products are something that help people in time of need. San Fransisco will fade away quickly. I would never make it a priority to get back. I long for England again, Ireland, Scotland.... and Australia would be great.
