Do any of you need light - be it sunlight or lamplight. I get really cranky without light in any day.

Yes, everybody needs some light and in fact some doctors believe that SAS (Seasonally Acquired Syndrome, or whatever) is actually caused by lack of daylight

I believe the phrase everyone's looking for is "Seasonal Affective Disorder".

I used to have it when I was working in the wintertime, get up and

drive to work in the dark, work 12-14 hours under flourescents, and

drive home in the dark. SAD!!! :yh_tired

Not so bad now, when I get out every morning and walk.

But it can really knock ya for a loop sometimes.

I dislike light myself. Fluorescent is the Worst! Bright sun makes me sneeze repeatedly. I like a dark house with candles, one end table light and the TV. I have heavy black curtains that keep my west facing house nice and Gloomy!!

I am soooo happy summer is here and the days are long. I've been told I suffer from SAD. Sometimes I just go outside and stand in the light and the sun. It always makes me feels better. I hate the dark - I guess Alaska is out for me - LOL. I do suffer from winter blues when I have to go to work in the dark and get home in the dark.

I stand in the rain evey chance I get - unless it's a thunderstorm. We get @ 5.0 inches of rain here and most of the time there is major lightening involved.

I used to like darkness when I was a teen (probably part of the goth thing). Now, I go berserk when I can't see clearly. Looking for black socks that match without the light on...I'll start throwing things. I've actually gone through every room and turned all the lights on because I couldn't stand looking into the darkness. It's one of the few things that instantly pisses me off less a disturbance than an idiosyncrasy.
