It seems that our dear WonderBra isn't going to be able to come over in January. :-1

But are we still going ahead?

If so have we decided on a location?

Who's coming?

These questions need answering to take my mind off the torture that is Christmas with hubby's elderly Aunt

and give me something to look forward to:D

I live in a summer place right now, Floops. It's been bloody hot here. That's why I'm heading to the beach fer Chrissie, catch a few waves and a bit of sea breeze. Just taking a couple of weeks timeout in February to roll in snow then back to the grind - beach, barbies, hunky lifesavers, sand, sunshine. You know how it is!!

I'm sure we ought to, yes.

We can expect maybe a dozen bodies. We need somewhere domestic where we can spend the night sat up until four in the morning with quiet music playing, and floor-space for sleeping bags, on a Saturday night. Just turning up at a pub with no plan on reaching Sunday afternoon isn't practical. I have it in mind that we might talk a couple of the Irish over if we try hard and if there's an airport nearby that flies something like Ryan Air.

We did Birmingham last year because it was more central than London.

Dont know if you guys know but Travel Lodge are offering some good deals.....some are £9 a night instead of £50......I booked last year when it was £15 a night...........suggest you look it up on yer pc.

I have been doing some surfing and found a few holiday cottages that are available the last weekend of January. I have been looking in the Cotswolds area because it's nice (!) and there are pubs there!!!!

I have found a few and depending on no of people staying the price is varying from £27 (for 2 nights) to £60 (for 3 nights) most will only book for 3 nights and the price does increase depending on how many beds are needed and how much space there is.

I am more than happy to get on and book something but would really like some definite numbers first. I could stay for 2 or 3 nights but what about everyone else?
