Right, the decorating in FOC is well under way, a couple of rooms are completed, one - the most important room, the 'rest room', and another - the 'reference library' all ready in case Mr. Spot calls by. :wah::wah:

So where were we on this 'Crazy world' thread.

Oh yes 'crazy world we live in!' - Some bright spark in the authority here in Nottingham has thought that it would be a great plan to erect a 60 metre 'bow' structure, towering over a square, at the cost of tens of thousands of pounds sterling, whilst busily closing down some 'old folks' residential homes because the authority cannot afford to run them !!!! Don't the poor old people get kicked in the teeth enough ffs? Who the hell wants an ugly structure like that dominating the area any way? I do wish these people would progress into the real world.

Hang on, I'd better check that last paragraph to make sure I haven't said anything racist, politically incorrect, feminist, manist, dogist, catist, etc. Ere where've you put me blinkin egg shells Carol ?

You have of course heard that people never 'fail', it's just 'deferred success', this is of course to preserve 'self esteem'.

When I was at school and one race I took part in, I came last ! I failed !!!!! The second race I took part in I came second out of six runners ! It is called competition, and I was determined not to be last again. Deferred success !!!! ?? What absolute tosh ! I FAILED in that first race! Oh and of course I hasten to add that is just in my opinion.

Right I think I will be serious for a change.The truth is we do live in a crazy world.We sit for hours at our pc talking to people we have never met and yet liking some of them so bloody much.We also decide which ones we dont.........?????? how can you not like somebody we have never met fgs......its those vibes I guess......even on your pc they come through.Through our lives we dont like telling our ages to people and yet when we are reallyyyyy old we go round bragging about it fgs.Some of us see the lambs playing in the fields and go....ahhhhhhhhh bless......only to go home to a roast lamb dinner.We buy something off Ebay really cheap...wow.....only £2 and its a fiver in the shops!!!!Er one thing we forget.....the £4.99 postage charge......we go shopping and decide the tin of beans is cheaper up the road by 4p...so we drive our car to go an get some..........yes lol it is a crazy old world thats for sure:wah:;)

my ex mother in law was like that. she'd go to the supermarket 5miles away to shop, drive seven miles in the other direction to save 3p on a bag of suger :-3

Hi Helen ! Your ex mother-in-law sounds like my grandmother ! My Dad used to drive her into the town every other week, just so she could buy 1/4 lb pack of Ty-phoo loose tea that was 2 old pence cheaper than she would have to pay in her own village ! And all the way into the town she would be saying things like "I told Mrs. ---------- that my son-in-law never takes me anywhere!" as her son-in-law was driving her on her regular trip to town ! I was also in the car and I was so surprised that my Dad didn't do a hand-brake turn and take her straight back home, bless his cotton socks ! Crazy world, but even crazier people !! :rolleyes:
