MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.

WOO HOO!!, what a ride!!!"

I thought you weren't allowed to take the **** out of religion in the US without getting banned from TV or something. You kind of get the impression that the US is going to become a right wing fundamentalist Christian state as opposed to remaining a liberal democracy.

How likely are fundamentalists to get real power in the US? Domestically it's your choice but an unstable america is worrying for the rest of the world.

We will always have to deal with the radical right wing fundamentalists as well as the radical left wing element, but I don't see either one taking a permanent hold on the country. Many people for example voted twice for Bush and are embarrassed that they did so (I am sorry to say that I was one of them). I thought at the time that it was better than the alternative.

Oddly, I and many others don't really fit comfortably in to either the radical left or right mold. But to the question of the fundamentalists getting real power------------I DON'T THINK THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN.

IF IT DOES----------I'M OFF PERMANENTLY TO NEW ZEALAND
