What Do You Love About Yourself?

Can you answer that question quickly and with a nice long list? If you can’t you’re not alone. So many people really struggle with this question. If I asked you the question “What do you dislike about yourself? Would the answers flow freely and make a long list? If so, again, you have lots of company.

Can you look into the mirror, look yourself in the eyes and say: “I love you [fill in your name]?

If you want to change something in your life, you need to love yourself. If love is lacking, the change will be limited. Without knowing yourself and loving yourself you cannot use the power of love. People learn how incredible they are by learning to love themselves.

We, as imperfect human beings, need our own loving support. When you love who you are, you automatically bring out the best in you. Love yourself enough to allow yourself to feel your emotions. Always take care of yourself.

Why is it so important to love yourself? The answer is very simple. If you love yourself, you will not reject yourself and no one else will either, or if they do, it certainly will not matter to you.

Often the best contribution you can make in life is to work on yourself. Love is always a life force and energy. Your opinion of yourself is more important than what others think of you. You need to like yourself if you want to treat yourself better. You do not have to be a great achiever in life to feel love for yourself. Happy people like themselves! Where love is, there is healing and energy.

well i can say my what i dislike about myself list would be nice and long!

but as for what i love about myself i guess it would be my personality, i've been told that i have a very unique trait in the fact that i have no temper, i don't get mad, and i love everybody and despise conflict of any kind and always have a smile for anyone i meet!:-6

so i can say yes i love myself on the inside, but the outside is a whole other story!

My ability to get along with just about everyone. Everyone always says I"m very friendly to just about everyone I meet. Except mice and I don't get along with them.

i don't get along with spiders and snakes i hate them both with a passion!:wah:

i guess they are the only things on the planet that i can say i hate!:(

as for people there's not a soul that i have ever known that i can say i hate, and as far as i know no one hates me either, so i'm very happy about that!:-6

I love the fact I can speak for animals who are helpless, abused, and left thrown to the curb like garbage. As a part time Animal Control Officer in my town, I get to speak for them and fine owners who think animals are "throw aways" when they don't want them any longer. I love collecting "free samples" and bringing a big basket full to my local Nursing Home. It's like Christmas for them to pick something out of the basket and see the smile on their face when they do. If I can make only one person smile during one day, that's what I strive to do. :-6

5' 4 1/2" yup. Daughter is 5' 6" and wears a 9.

I like being tall and good looking, and despite the age, very athletic with remarkably good reflexes. These things along with a quick wit, inquiring mind and challenging spirit coupled with my humbleness and humility are what I love most about me.:wah:

I do like me quite well really. I have been told by different people that I'm very generous - I do actually enjoy giving, to see somebody's face light up gives me such a thrill. It is also a good feeling to know that I have made somebody laugh or even just smile. Actually this has got me into trouble many a time, when I have been joking around - my son has sometimes said that I embarrass him! Well, I can't change who or what I am, so I'll just carry on being me, and trying to make people smile a little.

Ere did I tell you about the Englishman, the Scotsman, the Welshman and the Irishman ? Well they were all chatting in the local pub, and the conversation touched on children's names. The Englishman said that his son was born on St. George's day so he called his son George. The Scotsman said 'Well that is interesting, because my son was born on St. Andrew's day so I called him Andrew!' ....... The Welshman smiled and said 'Bless me, my son was born on St. David's day, so I called him David !'........... The Irishman looked gobsmacked 'Well isn't that amazin so it is ! Just wait till I tell our Pancake !!!!' :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

i think you hit the nail on the head! we don't want to look like we're bragging! if asked to name things we dislike about ourselves we can list them off without any problem, but ask someone to name something they like about themselves they suddenly get tongue tied and can't think of anything.

btw you're list doesn't sound too much like bragging, it sounds like someone who's not afraid to express who she truly is. i'm proud of you!:-6
