Where do you get your news?

Post by RedGlitter »

I'm looking for some new news outlets. I rarely watch TV or read the papers. I read all my news on the web.

Cnn

Fox (yes the dreaded Fox)

MSNBC

Arizona Central

The Arizona Republic

USA Today

The New York Times

The Chicago Tribune

What others do you think are worthwhile?

Washington Post and Times are good for politics

MSNBC

Fox (prefer it over CNN-their page online doesn't work well on my computer, I hear it at the gym)

El Mundo

My favorite local news:

LA Times

La Opinion

San Gabriel Valley Tribune

Baltimore Sun

Mayland Gazette (local paper)

Mostly I rely on sites posting me daily summaries like this

Last time I checked it was 97% of my email. I don't read it, you know, it's what's left after I've skimmed out the stuff I was expecting. Each time I give out a private email address I autofilter it into a folder so I know it's real mail, the junk is there just in case something pops out if I search it.

97%!!

I remember the week the first spam was sent and the wave of outrage that exploded around the Internet.

My ISP is Orange. My email acount with them was just given out to family and friends and the odd forum or like FG. I would get on average 200 spam emails per day, I had the spam filter set and still I got that many in my inbox, I never even looked at the filtered junk. I have deleted that account as it was tiresome deleting it all. My hotmail account however, never gives me any spam...Weird.

Anyways I set up a new fsmail account with Orange, havent given anyone the address and already im getting spam??? How does that work????

I watch the "dreaded" Fox. They always have republicans and democrats on there so you get both sides and opinions.

I do like The Sydney Morning Herald, it's one of the world's great papers. When it went live on the Internet back in the 90s it was a huge pointer to where the web was headed.

Actually it's not that I'm a news junkie. I just post news items for the most part in hope that they'll garner a discussion. Sometimes it works!

Thank you everyone who's answered so far! You guys are a great help! :-6
