Two Income families!

Post by cars »

After reading Red's thread about stay at home wives, it prompted this Thread.

Many of Today's "younger" generation wants every thing they see their parents & others have, and they want it right now. They don't want to have to "wait" to pay off a big ticket item, (like their parents & other older people did in their day) before getting other all the other big ticket items they want. 2 big cars now, big house now, plazma tvs now, lavish vacations now, expensive clothes now, etc. (It took years for own their parents to acquire all of the things they own, they didn't get it right from the start) Therefore, many younger couples became "2 income families", where the wife went out to work to be able to afford the all the extra luxuries! (Via charge accounts & loans, huge mortagages, etc)

Currently with the way the ecomomy has become, many are now in trouble, 2 incomes or not!

Unfortunately there are families out there where the wife "has to" go out to work, just to make ends meet & put food on the table (forget luxuries) in these trying times!

Yes, it is hard on them, they don't know how to balance what you really need, with what you don't. Plasma TV, still don't have one. :wah:
