I was looking on ebay for an American Fridge Freezer and came across an advert, this is what the guy wrote;

THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR OUR FRIDGE FREEZER. A WHILE AGO,I ATTACKED IT WITH AN ICE PICK,BECAUSE IT WAS LOOKING AT ME FUNNY.AND THE FACT IT HAD ICED UP.RESULTING IN FORCING THE BACK INNER COVER OUTWARDS.THIS I'M SURE COULD BE REPLACED.

THE TEMPERATURE IN THE FRIDGE IS OK.BUT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE TOP TO BOTTOM.WE PUT OUR DOG IN THERE,AND HE WAS MORE COMFORTABLE IN THE TOP.WHICH TOLD US THAT THERE MAY BE A SLIGHT PROBLEM.

WE HAVE USED IT (SORRY THE WIFE HAS USED IT) AND IT HASNT BOTHERED US.WE NOW WANT A SMALLER ONE ANYHOW.

THE FREEZER SIDE IS ABSOLUTELY FINE,AND THE WINNING BIDDER CAN HAVE THE ICE AS WELL THROWN IN!!

THE OUTSIDE HAS A FEW MARKS ON IT (SEE PICTURE). WE HAVE FOUND THAT 350 FRIDGE MAGNETS HIDE THESE MARKS EXTREMELY WELL.THE PLASTIC SURROUND ON THE BOTTOM HAS A PIECE MISSING ON ONE SIDE.

THIS ITEM IS HEAVY AND IS JUST A LITTLE TOO BIG FOR POSTAGE.MY WIFE WILL HELP YOU LOAD IT INTO YOUR VAN.

WE ARE LISTING THIS ITEM WITHOUT RESERVE.NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE AND NO COLD CALLERS! THERE IS CURRENTLY LISTED ON EBAY THE PLASTIC COVER REQUIRED FOR THE FRIDGE.

It's just the kind of thing he'd write, I just sent the person a message saying that I didn't want the freezer but the ad was fab:wah:

Here's another

This is a large american side-by-side fridge/freezer with ice & water dispenser.It is an Amana SRD522VW ( a very good brand ) in white.H175cm W92cm D67cm.It is approx 3 - 6 years old.It would have cost over £2200 when new.Unfortunately it suddenly stopped working last month.A repair man was called out but it was the bank holiday weekend and he never turned up.So instead of waiting we went out and bought a nice shiny new black one as you do.It has since been put into the garage where it proudly sits.Cannot be bothered to find out whats wrong with it and have it fixed.It is in very good condition otherwise and is definately too good to throw away...All i know about the fault is that when i plug it in it trips the electric out.Could be a really simple repair.Grab yourself a bargain happy bidding.
